Blood in our streets. I saw people on the ground, bleeding. Shattered glass everywhere. Police cars set alight. Major bridges are now closed, preventing public access into the downtown core. Transit is plugged up, there’s no way out. More police and fire crews are arriving, from the suburbs, but again, it seems too late. And as I write this, the sun has just set. Yet Philly fans are the worse because they boo’d a skinny drunk santa 40+ years ago.
Absolutely disgraceful, but I can empathize with their frustration. Nothing more frustrating than losing to a team whose primary asset is a big galoot that takes up three-quarters of the net.
So glad we’re sailing out of Seattle instead of Vancouver. Wanted to visit while we were in Seattle for a few days before cruise but not now.

The very same thing happened after they lost the Cup in ‘93. And yet the authorities seemed totally unprepared.
