I was expecting this to be satire with pictures of morose Canadians milling about, but I found other sites talking about it. Yikes. Just imagine if they had a soccer team.

We’ll see what happens today in Dallas, huge crowds downtown 100+ degree temperatures, busses and trains overflowing...could be a very interesting day here.
Boston did something Vanc. couldn’t do: win a road game in the finals. Had Vancouver won either game 3, game 4, or game 6 at the TD Garden, they would have been hoisting the Cup instead.

Vanc. also had riots when NY Rangers beat Canucks in S Cup in 94. I saw footage on World’s Wildest Police Videos. Remember seeing footage of riots/burning cars in Oakland when Raiders lost Super Bowl. Rioting/looting went on in Montreal when Canadians WON. I’d like to hope that most Canadians aren’t
like this, only a “few knuckleheads” as Menino would say.
It does give them a bad name, esp. the footage I was seeing. What if they’d WON? This was Canuckistan supposedly taking out their frustrations at losing (”Boston sucks!”, went some chants) Would it have been jubilant looting instead?
There were a couple fatalities related to Boston team wins/celebration in past decade, true. But any vandalism, etc. was kept to a minimum. I think I heard some people tried to overturn a bus in Bos., etc.
