Dear FReepers:
Funerals are never happy occasions, but the one I attended today was among the saddest. My cousin Amber's husband died suddenly this past week, apparently from an aneurysm. He collapsed in the midst of a conversation with a co-worker and died immediately. He was fifty-three. He leaves behind Amber and their two children, ages three and five.
Amber is strong, and has emotional support from family and friends, but it will be difficult for her to recover from this tragic loss and raise two small children alone. Please pray for her and her children.
Thank you.
Huntress
Prayers for Amber.
You are not alone. God bless.
She has my prayers.
Prayers for Amber, the children and the faithful departed!
Prayers for Amber and family.
Prayers for Amber and family.
So young!
Prayers for Amber and her and your family. Strength and comfort will be needed and I pray the Lord will provide (and am sure He will).
A prayer for Amber and for her children has been sent.
I also prayed that there would be men in the family circle who will stand in the gap for this widow and the fatherless.
Our life is but a vapor. If anyone needs to do business with God, do not delay. You are not guaranteed tomorrow.
I will surely remember Amber. Having family is probably the best thing for her along with faith in God.
I just found out today that one of my favorite cousins has an aneurysm. His Dr. told him he will not live much longer as it is not operable.
This person has lived a long and both happy and fruitful life which does make it a bit less traumatic. He was once the pastor of one of the largest churches in Florida but then went to work for the Sunday School Board in Nashville before he retired.
He has MC’d our family reunion for 55 years and today he preached a short sermon about the Apostle Paul and his vision of heaven. He has already told his wife how he wants his funeral to be conducted. One thing is he wants a girl to sing a Capella at grave side. The song is “When They Ring Those Golden Bells For You and Me.”
Prayers up.
Amber has my prayers. My father passed in a similar manner and just as suddenly.
Prayers for Amber, her kids and her late husband.
He will be with them.
Prayers definitely up.....sad time, given Fathers Day and all...
May the Living God, the only One who can strengthen and give peace, wrap His loving arms around Amber, the children and the rest of his family and friends.
Prayers up!
God be with her and her family.
Prayers lifted, for you, and Amber and the children. May God lift them up and hold them close in this sad time.
May God bless.
Tatt
May GOD keep Amber and the children close to him. May they understand the beautiful world their father has provided. AMEN
