It’s this political posturing instead of fighting to win that will kill more American Soldiers. The old press should go and hang themselves for their complicity in these deaths.
My son is in southeast Afghanistan right now. When he arrived they took over an area from an ally of ours. The transfer took about 1 mo. While this ally had authority over the area it was quiet, any nonsense was met with big guns, they played offense, something our troops are forbidden to do. Now that the ally is gone, the attacks are daily. The Taliban knows that we are hamstrung, we the Americans are soft targets. While the ally was pro-active and were able to quell the attacks, we are reactive. Last week, within my son’s platoon, while on patrol, 3 Purple Hearts were awarded. They are engaged just about every time they leave the wire.
It makes me ill that the ROE are so restrictive and favor the enemy not our troops. Now as more and more leave, will our guys be able to fight? If things remain as is, there will definitely be more deaths. Obama already has more troops killed on his watch than all 8 yrs. under GWB. It is NOT that the Taliban are better fighters either. It is because they use our ROE against us!!!
And by the way, according to my son, the ISAF patch they wear stands for I SUCK AT FIGHTING. What a morale booster!

They are already 5 times higher since 0 became president, because of his STUPID ROE’s.

By telegraphing your intentions to the enemy, you are guaranteeing increased casualties as well as eliminating intelligence from the native population. But hey the “CIC” learned everything he knows from being a community organizer. Grrrr
More flag draped coffins that the MSM will ignore. There are no anti-war, environmentalist, women/human rights movements in America; it’s all about power and the struggle for freedom.
I would love to see the President’s protective detail arrest him for treason—giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
