NJ Governor Chris Christie sat down with NBC News' Morning Joe' panel to discuss how he plans to lower taxes and decrease NJ's debt. Christie explained that the Pension Reform bill that he is poised to sign will effectively save NJ tax payers $132 billion and make health insurance affordable to public workers without increasing the tax burden on NJ residences. When asked why tax hikes aren't on the table, Christie says that the top 1% of NJ residents pay 41% of the income tax and face the highest taxes in America, they've already paid their fair share'.

Mika the lib: “Oh, please, please Governor, raise taxes...you must...it’s the only fair thing to do”.
Bravo Christie.
Mika truly is the poster child for nepotism.
I know some people have a problem with Christie, on certain social issues, I guess. But when you live in NJ, he looks pretty good.
If he would just shed the Man Made Global Warming myth I’d be all for him.
I love that he brought up needing to be competitive with NY and their tax rates.
Does this mean the “Obama stash” is getting low?
The more I see this guy the more I like him.
Leadership looks good from everywhere...
Raising taxes is fascist. At least it is in the American system.
The middle class and upper middle class are punished most severely with taxes. Middle class people, generally, are just trying to get by. Maybe not living paycheck to paycheck, but the disposable income in their budget is quite limited. The poor pay no taxes, and the rich have accountants to help with tax strategies. Not to mention that if you pay 40% tax on $1 million, you still have $600k left. I could get by on that.
So the middle class is punished, and their standard of living goes down with tax increases. The rich get annoyed, and the poor get a little more, bur remain poor and unmotivated.
Effectively, it pushes the middle class down, closer to the poor, in what appears to be an attempt to create a 2 class society.
Fascism.
Chris Christie is the best New Jersey can hope for. His position on taking the union leadership to task and trying to strighten out the pension mess is laudable. His recent comments on “Gay” Marriage are refreshing. He is also pro-life.
But until he changes his position on the Second Amendment and Islam and modifies his position on illegals, I can’t support him for President IN THE PRIMARIES.
Write him if you are considering him, and let him know about YOUR views on those subjects. It MIGHT change his mind.
Christie, in my opinion, is planning to run for President. His speeches and interviews over the weekend critical of Obama and his policies are telegraphing his punches. My guess is he is waiting until LATER in the year to announce, and he is letting the other wannabes waste ammo and money shooting each other out of the sky before he joins the dogfight for the primary win.
Although I am not now a supporter of his for the reasons outlined above, its CRITICAL to the survival of AMERICA that that monster in the Oval Office be dethroned. I would support nearly ANY Repuublican who might run against him. Right now, the only one I COULD not support IN ANY WAY is Huntsman.
The more time and money the GOP candidates expend on each other and the more negatives they generate in their investigations of opponents, the better supplied Obama and the media and George Soros will be to turn the thrust of the campaign AWAY from Obama’s RECORD and onto the foibles -in many cases small in the BIG picture - of the GOP candidate who is selected.
With the Muslim Marxist in the White House, we need to be careful - very careful.
No one even comes close to framing the issue and making the argument as well as Chris Christie.
But Mika is still an airhead.
Christie ping!
Mika says he needs to raise taxes even if it destroys the state because :”It's the fair thing to do”

I can agree with that statement. POTUS, no way.
On Rush today, Mark Davis substituted and said (like us) that he didn't like some of his positions, but wishes all the pubby candidates could get his spine.
Don’t forget his appointing Muslim judges to the state supreme court and his approval of the Ground Zero mosque.
Christie is a tool of those who would supplant US law with Shari’ah.
All this takes time to sort out, but Christie, Trump, and Perry are interesting to argue about, but I think they will all pale next to Palin's star power. Christie is sorta like Guliani. I don't hear any bad stuff about him till the elections get near. Then we get to see him in drag once more. Romney won't ever be able to shake Romney care until he denounces it, which he won't, because he can't. Cain could slog it out for awhile if he doesn't make many mistakes. Bachmann is the defacto leader, IMHO, unless Palin gets in. It's kinda embarrassing that Coulter pushes Christie so much knowing his weaknesses. I've often wondered what people will think if Christie joins the race after saying he would commit suicide first. It's the same group that thinks Palin is ruined for quitting the governorship in AK. Trump, of course is a moron and I don't think he would even mess things up as a 3rd party. Maybe 1-2% at most. Whoever wins the Republican primary will be POTUS this time around. I think unemployment will be closer to 9% than 7% for Obummer. Even blacks will turn on him.
Christie is so damn good at responding off the cuff to all the arguments of the leftists, he leaves them gasping and their pre-programmed talking points sound so hollow and lame.
