"Gov. Jerry Brown said Monday he was abandoning hopes of striking a bipartisan budget deal on taxes and instead would push through a spending plan solely with the support of Democratic lawmakers."

A sure sign of tyranny is when the leader can impose taxes on the people at his whim and without the consent of the legislators. (It’s called taxation without representation.)

Good luck with that. Amazon will just dump any affiliates in California to ensure that they have no physical presents in the state. More job losses for CA.

Looks like California on-line retailers will be looking to move to Texas. That will really help the budget. Guess that’s why they’re called libtards.

Elect a senile, 60’s radical who was buddies with Jim Jones and every union and Marxist he can cuddle up to and you get this...

Cap and Trade
Amazon Taxes
Illegal DREAM Act
Uncorking Prop. 13 for commercial properties

They will not stop paying the useless bureaucrats for life, ever. They will starve business to pay for unionized morons and illegal invaders’ lunches and Section 8 housing.

Brown is an abject and utter failure...but CA thinks it’s too big to fail and the US Government will bail out all its union and illegal (future Dem voter) aliens out...

I heard a GOP assembly member on the radio this morning. He stated he thinks this “Amazon Tax” is illegal because it takes a two thirds vote of the legislature to increase taxes in the state. The GOP was going to run it by their lawyers and take appropriate action.

As the old axiom goes, if you want less of something, tax it.

Fools.

The bill also includes two other bills that were also passed by the CA State Legislature that would require online retailers that have corporate subsidiaries & distribution centers in a state to collect sales tax from customers,

As much as I hate paying sales tax, I have no problem with this legislation. If Amazon has a corporate presence in a state, then it should have to live by the same rules as every other business in the state.

Of course this could result in Amazon closing all its California business entities, but that is the risk that California and Amazon will have to bear.

Well, we’ll see if Bezos has the male anatomy to dump the affiliates in California.

Were I Amazon, I would say goodbye to the Kalifornia market rather than become entangled in Marxist-State red tape and the future lawsuits/harassment which any business can expect from leftists.
