Yes, that was my point.

It never happened, BUT it was kept in the media cycle for days and days. Even had conservatives fighting with each other.

So I just went to GoogleNews to see what sort of statement that champion of the people, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, issued regarding the harassment that Glenn Beck and family suffered the other night.

Nothing. Zip, zero, nada from His Honor.

He should resign.

“We need to be on the offense as much as we can to drive this home.”

ABSOLUTELY!

Honestly, Ann Coulter has it right calling liberals the P word for wimpy. I might add that this old lady is really sick and tired of republicans trying to get along with people who are out to destroy the country.

One of the best pieces I’ve ever read in my life.

Kudos Mrs. Coulter!

Her NEW BOOK is pretty good, too!

Demonic and The Underrated Ann

It seems strange to say that Ann Coulter is underrated. Every book she writes is a bestseller — her new one, Demonic, is no exception. When she’s on tour, you can barely turn on a TV or radio without seeing her face, hearing her voice.

I was in a restaurant with her once and she was so swamped with admiring members of the public I felt like I was part of a movie star’s entourage.
(I don’t really do entourages, but if I had to be part of one, I was glad it was hers.) All the same, I don’t think she gets the respect she deserves...

-- snip --

...When Ann Coulter is good — and I think Demonic is one of her best — she is doing something special and doing it at a level that makes her unique.

It’s not just the heavyweight research or the fearless disdain for received opinion. Her flexible, sardonic, rigorous and unabashedly jokey prose creates an iconic voice that humanizes her polemic and compels you to engage with her specific and original worldview.

People are wont to say off-handedly "you either love her or hate her," but they don’t seem to understand that that’s a writerly achievement of the first water.

Demonic makes an argument more complex than her other books.

Books like Slander and Treason tended to marshal legions of facts and examples in support of ideas like "the mainstream media lie," or "liberals are unpatriotic."

Demonic revives the 19th century science of "crowd psychology," and argues that left-wing politics descends from the brutal and ultimately enslaving mob madness of the French Revolution whereas conservatives have inherited the mantle of the American founders, who feared the mob above all.

The book operates like a prosecutor building a case and even at its most one-sided, is often scarily convincing.

The chapters in Part III on violence are brilliant.

Had I hair, it would’ve stood on end...

Every conservative needs to understand that liberals will put them into a gas chamber given half an excuse. That might sound like hyperbole, but its an absolute FACT.

This is a MUST READ! column by Ann!

As long as liberals can't be normal and prosecutors can't be reasonable, how about a one-punch rule against anyone bothering a stranger in public? Then we'll see how brave these lactose-intolerant mama's boys are.

Let me know if you'd like to be added to the Ann Coulter ping list.

Beck and his family would have been fine at an outdoor rap concert. They would have been fine at a sporting event. They would have been fine at any paid event, mostly because people who work for the government and live in rent-controlled apartments would be too cheap to attend.

Nah, they would have been fine because at a paid event people are there to get their moneys worth from the event.

You try to start a rumpus at a paid event and the people around you will not join in, they will sit on you. And some of those boys never met a meal they didn't like. But at a free event who cares if it is spoiled? You didn't lose anything, it was free! And calling people names and throwing stuff is probably a lot more amusing to the liberal brain then watching a movie that requires that you pay attention.

Lots of white people at rap concerts. Usually more whites then blacks.

File it under strange but true. Rap concert in Detroit, 70% of the audience was so white they glowed in the dark.

Liberals are not like most Americans. They are the biggest pussies on Earth...

Way to go Ann!

Excellent article from Annie! After reading it, I was so angry about the way a person can be treated by others who hate what they stand for. I was riled up and ready to stand up to anyone who dared try the same thing to someone I knew or any person who is treated wrongly, then I read Beck's account of the incident. Instead of wishing harm on the idiots or wishing he had kicked their a$$, he said hate never solved anything and that love was the only way to really answer this kind of behavior. Now, I don't think he meant we shouldn't defend against someone physically attacking us or our loved ones or even a stranger in trouble, but we need to be the ones who stand up to insult by returning it with love.

Fire doesn't put out fire, it takes water. And love is water on the hot fire of hate. Jesus said,"turn the other cheek", and it was and is the only right response to insults. Heck, I know it's hard in the heat of the moment but we need to show those misinformed haters that there is another way and we are not like them at all. We don't answer evil for evil. We MUST be above that or we will never defeat it. He did the right thing by letting it go and he showed those who hated him that he was not influenced by them and their childish acts. He was the grown-up that night. Maybe one day that child in a woman's body will be, too
