White House press secretary Jay Carney said that he called officials at MSNBC to convey to the cable station the administration's anger toward a remark made by an analyst Thursday morning.
Washington was abuzz Thursday after longtime Washington journalist Mark Halperin used a profane term to describe President Obama's tone during Wednesday's press conference.

I believe that all of us who have been Dicks all of our lives (my name is Richard) and proudly lived with our nicknames should sue der Fuehrer and the MSNBC flack for giving all Dicks a bad name. Hell, BO doesn’t even deserve the comparison to a male organ; he serves no useful purpose although he does make a regular habit of pissing on the country and the Constitution. All of us real Dicks don’t appreciate the comparison that ties him to our name or to our favorite body part. Refer to him as a wiener if you’d like.
