Ronald Reagan is credited with bringing about the collapse of the Warsaw Pact. Baraq Obama will be credited with bringing about the collapse of NATO.

Well, he was the choice of the majority of those that voted in ‘08. They wanted him. They got him. Let them enjoy him. I don’t.

China isn’t going to go quietly from those oilfields. They are using and supplying Sudan as their proxy. This is a huge disaster.

Muslim countries serve as nobody's proxy, especially not infidels. Besides, the trend in world oil markets (including in Alaska) is for territories with oil reserves to offer a profit-sharing deal before oil is discovered and to renege on that deal after oil is discovered, such that foreign oil companies that risked huge amounts of capital are left high and dry. The Chinese have had this happen to them in both Iraq and Venezuela.

My interpretation of this incident is that the Sudanese are just fishing in troubled waters, and justifiably so - given (1) weakness on the part of both Gaddafi and the rebels opposing him, (2) NATO's reluctance to risk ground troops in Libya against Gaddafi's rickety military and (3) the troubles in Egypt (traditionally the country that alternated between ruling Sudan and governing it indirectly as a vassal state), who's going to stop Sudan from making a land grab? Sudan is doing what Saddam should have done in Kuwait back in 1990 (to avoid Western intervention) - grab a percentage of the territory and then stand pat. A limited land grab is a border dispute. Nobody gets very involved in border disputes. If the Sudanese stop at Kufra, my feeling is that they have just acquired themselves a new oil-bearing province.

While agree with the sentiment of your post, I have to ask:

How do we know this is unintended?

...instead we drop 2000 bombs on the only dictator in the region, who was actually helping us against Islamists.

That's why Obama is doing it.

Here we see the unintended results from handling the Libyan problem as a number of people on F.R. would have liked to have seen Iraq and Afghanistan handled.

This makes a good object lesson, why simply bombing Hussien and the Afghanistan leadership wouldn’t have been a productive response to 09/11.

I do not by any stretch of the imagination support ground troops in Libya. I do not support the air campaign in Libya. And I do remember those who called for it. I pray to God I won’t have to vote for one of them.

I do however support ground troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Whatever befalls America, and...it will not be good, it is the American people that have brought doom unto themselves, just as the citizens of Germany did by voting in Adolf Hitler and his NAZI destroyers of German & Europe. I mean the handwriting of the true Obama is on the wall and the American “sheep” just wait for the slaughter, be it economic or worse. God help this once great nation!!!

They have planned and acted on what they think Qadaffi will do, not what he can do.

He can attack limited targets with very limited forces in Washington, London, Paris or Rome. Keep in mind this is war. His child and grandkids were killed.

The kids and grand kids of the war instigators in the above noted cities are at risk. The black Suburbans are vulnerable to an RPG

you are correct, but if qaddafi makes it out alive, he will create trouble for the U.S. and our allies. May I be wrong, but hoping qaddafi does not make it out alive. The trouble with zer0 is he (zer0) always does what is best for the oppossing chess players on the chess board ... imho We (NATO) should have stayed clear of this conflict in Libya, for it was always a lose / lose proposition (imho). Dang it zer0, what part of idiot move do you (zer0) not understand? or as many believe, zer0 thought the move was brilliant, because it fits right into his (zer0’s) plan to destroy the U.S. Those thinking it fits into zer0’s plan are more than likely correct, based on the moves on the world chess board .... imho. I Pray zer0 Fails!

Wikipedia on the Second Sudanese Civil War (1983-2005):

Roughly two million people have died as a result of war, famine and disease caused by the conflict. Four million people in southern Sudan have been displaced at least once (and often repeatedly) during the war. The civilian death toll is one of the highest of any war since World War II.

Praying no crates have been slipped by Customs with weapons (through the ports). Though realizing zer0 thinks this would be a good thing.

When Israel finally has no other choice but to prevent another Holocaust-only this time from the gathering evil hordes of new Jew-hating Islamists surrounding THEIR Holy Land-by annihilating Muslims by the millions with thermonuclear ordinance...

It will be both Obama’s fault and his ultimate legacy.
And Islam will curse the day he was born a Muslim.
