Due to copyright "stuff" I can't post an article on here from the Detroit Free Press, but it seems that Michigan GOP Congressman Thaddeus McCotter is entering the GOP race for Prez.
The guy is very, very Conservative and smart. He has a very sharp wit and would devastate President Clueless in a Debate. He will have a little trouble explaining his vote for money for the Michigan Auto Industry, but, he does represent auto workers after all.
He's been on FOX a lot (Red Eye [where they absolutely love him] and Huckabee.) Dude also plays a mean guitar. Just wondering this morning: How many FReepers are aware of this and do you have any comments?
Palin / McCotter would be a very good ticket.
Almost the best, imaginable.
Would like to go on record today, regarding the catch phrase for this guy:
“McCotter Democrats”.
Just as Reagan Democrats once before ... McCotter is the only Republican right now, unapologetically supporting American jobs. And he’s brilliant. This is very good news.
To: No!
FYI..you'll enjoy this...
Thaddeus McCotter, who's announcing today that he is running for the WH, in an interview with the Daily Caller, was asked what is the most dangerous thing Obama can do to America?
He replied: Get re-elected..
Have a great 4th!!

Yeah those darn Americans.
Much better that US jobs and technology go to Asia.

With just the PPV and DVD sales from just ONE Obama-McCotter debate, IMHO, we could cut the present deficit by AT LEAST half.
(Palin-McCotter ALSO works for me.)
There must be some money to be made by becoming a Presidential Candidate. There seems to be a lot of these guys who haven’t got a chance running. The only thing I can figure out is that they somehow can use all the money they raise for something else after they drop out. I have always said “Follow the Money”!
Not everybody who runs for President actually runs for President, they run sometimes to enhance their profile, some for state wide elections and some for VP or cabinet considerations - just FYI
Have you seen McCotter and listened to the guy?
Somehow, I’m thinking you haven’t?
WELCOME HAT, McCOTTER
He seems to have a good balance of politics and reality. I am eager for him to alter the debate.
Me too!
I posted the other day that I am thrilled he’s getting into the race!

“McCotter on Fox Business Discussing Repatriation Tax Holiday for U.S. Companies “
Heard Herman Cain also mentioning that same idea this week.
Twist it however you want but FReepers aren’t that stupid.
When a concrete pad was put in front of our local post office. The guy two doors away wasn’t allowed to bid on the job because he wasn’t unionized. Instead they had to bring a unionized company in from Detroit 70 miles away. It took them 3 weeks to do a job that should have taken a day and cost upwards of $100,000. The guy two doors away bid on the job at $5000.
He is smart and witty, but in a nerdy-wry way. He’s not got the type of humor to run from obscure congressman to president.
Also, he’s not that conservative, being a member of the main RINO caucus in the House, the Republican Main Street Partnership:

I like the guy but have no illusions about who he is. In his district, its either him or another Dingell clone.
I tend to think he’s raising his visibility for a run against Stabenow. After all, I’ve lived in the next district all my life and had never heard of him till about 4 years ago.
How about you watch one of the YouTubes I posted, from McCotter’s own site.
Then decide.
Without the “free trade” baloney.
I know about McCotter. I’m in the next district over from his.
