Kristol even talks as if he’s speaking out of one or both sides of his mouth.

Agreed. Congress has mandated that 10% of the fuel sold must be ethanol. We should let the marketplace decide what is best.

During the Senator Coryn time on FNS, the moderator (Jamie?) asks about Barack Obama's scolding of private sector corporations who own private sector corporate jets, at the same time Michelle and the Obama girls are flying to South Africa on the taxpayers' dime, and nobody mentions the irony of the situation. How sad.

Somebody should explain to Barack Obama that displaying chutzpah in those statements is not the same as showing solidarity with Israel.

Pretty scary graphics, kabar. Our developed country is reverting to a developing country. Maybe dem’s would like us to slide all the way to a third-world country.

Jose, the illegal, canned WaPo reporter was whining like a little girl about how unfair we are to people that break our laws. Claimed all these illegals are woven into the fabric of our society, we just need to face it. He’s correct that they have woven themselves in, but it’s weakening the fabric, not strengthening it as your graphs show.

Netenyahu has been working with Greece for some time, using Greece’s concern about the Turks as leverage.

So that is why Greece stopped that stupid flotilla, including the appropriately named ship “The Audacity of Hope.”

I find mysef amused. Perhaps some of the people on that flotilla will find themselves in a Greek jail.

No one has mentioned the fact that Obama flew to a state where he spoke to Alcoa workers, praising them for their expertise in aluminum production, just before his Press Conference where he excoriates people who use private jets.

Guess who are purchasers of the special aluminum made in the very same Alcoa factory?

President Obama’s Visit Showcases Alcoa’s Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities
6/28/2011 3:48:00 PM - Article #15754
BETTENDORF, Iowa—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Alcoa showcased the advanced manufacturing capabilities of its Davenport, Iowa, plant today, during a tour by U.S. President Barack Obama. President Obama also announced that Alcoa was joining the President’s Advanced Manufacturing Partnership.

“Nothing would fly without aluminum. Today’s visit recognizes the teamwork and passion that keeps Alcoa at the forefront of innovation and advanced manufacturing in the U.S. and abroad.”

Davenport is the manufacturing hub of Alcoa’s $3 billion aerospace business and the world’s premier aerospace supply plant, producing high-tech products for all major aircraft, including Airbus’ A380, the world’s largest passenger plane, and Boeing’s 747-8 and 777.

“Alcoa is showing us the future we can build here in eastern Iowa and across the country,” said President Obama in remarks at the plant today.

Shouldn’t the gummit be taxing ethanol like oil?

Happy Independence Day!

On FOX, the quite guilty Chris Wallace has been replaced by an insightful, and clearly non-guilty, new host.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but during his apology last Sunday, Wallace said he would be on vacation this week.

Both parties are guilty. Bush 43 was one of the worst. That said, legal and illegal immigration are just two sides of the same coin. They involve essentially the same people. By greatly expanding legal immigration since 1965, we have rapidly changed the demographics of the country.

I don’t know who she was. I didn’t notice an on-air graphic name tag and didn’t hear her give her name. I checked the FNS site but couldn’t find her.

It could be argued that Kristol, Kraut and others termed “neo cons” are actually New Left.

1. They are all big gov devotees and Washington insiders.

2. They believe that nation building justifies foreign wars/interventions.

3. They don’t object to amnesty for alien trespassers and are the quickest to say, “You can’t deport 20 million people.”

4. They don’t reject global warming and often make a “what would you wager” argument that even if the world isn’t getting hotter green is good blah blah blah.

5. They exhibit little or no interest in the business sector or flyover country or what the average person does for a living and the problems we face.

6. They are said to be big Zionists but, with a noncommital nod, tend to bestow legitimacy to inane claims of grievances by the Palestinians that no other people alive could get away with.

7. They’ll site Goldwater’s loss in 1964 twice as often as they will 1980, and they all seem to DREAD Sarah Palin.

Let’s cut the crap and call them what they are: the New Left.

Spot on. They have been the vanguard of the left infiltrating their one supposedly ‘opposition’ party.

Yes, Teddy K. was most effectively destructive of our country with the change in legal immigration policy.

I got into a big hoo-hah on another thread about Jefferson and this thing about him and a Hemings’ child.

The rule is, if you say it enough, it becomes true.

Here’s my first big question....if Tom and Sally had a kid together...WHY DIDN’T SALLY TELL THE WORLD?

She never mentioned it to anyone, not even her other children.

I read a book on this. The author made a compelling case that it was simply not true.

Jefferson was a very devout religious man. He had a wife for many years, there was no other evidence that he cheated in any way.

The biggest problem....Hemmings never said a word to anybody about her and Tom. Jeez louise, women love to talk this kind of thing.

The blacks, they want to use this to paint a founding father as a worthless philanderer who went around knocking up his hapless slave women.

And, since Tom’s not around to defend himself, saying it over and over it becomes the truth.

and don’t give me that story about a DNA test. Somewhere they got a DNA sample of Jefferson’s Uncle’s hairdressers’s third cousing and they found some kind of spurious DNA relationship between it and a descendent of the Hemmings son allegedly with Jefferson.

Which you, and The Wise I, would also have the same weird DNA relationship on the third cusp of the fifth polyp of the bottom half of a chromosone.

We are being colonized by the Third World.

The U.S. adds one international migrant (net) every 36 seconds. Immigrants account for one in 8 U.S. residents, the highest level in more than 80 years. In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13. In a decade, it will be one in 7, the highest it has been in our history. And by 2050, one in 5 residents of the U.S. will be foreign-born.

Currently, 1.6 million legal and illegal immigrants settle in the country each year; 350,000 immigrants leave each year, resulting in a net immigration of 1.25 million. Since 1970, the U.S. population has increased from 203 million to 310 million, i.e., over 100 million. In the next 40 years, the population will increase by 130 million to 440 million. Three-quarters of the increase in our population since 1970 and the projected increase will be the result of immigration. The U.S., the world’s third most populous nation, has the highest annual rate of population growth of any developed country in the world, i.e., 0.977 percent (2010 estimate), principally due to immigration.

87 percent of the 1.2 million legal immigrants entering annually are minorities as defined by the U.S. Government and almost all of the illegal aliens are minorities. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under in the U.S. will be classified as minorities and by 2039, half of the residents of this country will be minorities. Generally, immigrants and minorities vote predominantly for the Democrat Party. Hence, Democrats view immigration as a never-ending source of voters that will make them the permanent majority party.

Over the past 45 years we are witnessing one of the greatest peaceful mass movement of people in world history. Demography is destiny.
