I think she was just kidding when she said that and basically said it at the time to get them to change the subject and move on. But she's stood by it a few times when she could have easily clarified her remarks and said she was caught up in the moment or something.
She does seem to have a good relationship with them going back a few years and they are local to AK and all and she likes that.
So who knows? I think if she does stick by it she'll tell them first that she has decided but not what she's decided.They're on from 935AM to 2PM EST, though.
So if she timed it right it would cover the whole day.
You'd have all the morning TV shows with cameras and crews there, etc... And she'd have full coverage from Rush who comes on at 12. Maybe she's already given him the signal. One if by land, two if by tea. As long as she does it during Bob and Mark and doesn't spill over into the guy who comes on after them, one "Porno Brad". I don't think "Sarah Palin announces candidacy on Porno Brad show" would be a good headline.
I don't think we ever really know with her. She always does something no one expects or really has any warning about. I'm sure if she announces however she does it will be in a way that's a surprise.

It's not impossible, but doubtful at best that a morning show would be live today.
I hope wherever she announces, she does it on live TV and holds her birth certificate up.

I’d love for it to be today but I don’t think it will happen until after July 26th when the statute of limitations are up for the AK anklebiters to file bogus ethics charges.

Ummm...It's the 4th of July. Most morning radio shows have the day off. It's usually "best of" shows, Independence Day specials, voice tracked (recorded previously with mostly just liners and such) or really toned back shows with "B" teams subbing. It's not impossible, but doubtful at best that a morning show would be live today.You may be correct. :(
I'm listening to the live feed now, and they just announced:

McCain notified his VP earlier tonight. He also notified the potential picks that they were not chosen.
