Subprime Scandal: The corrupt process by which the Democrat-appointed Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission was formed and ran its "investigation" is finally getting press.
In an extraordinary development, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid now says he regrets naming fellow Democrat Byron Georgiou to the commission because of "ethical concerns" first raised by this paper regarding Georgiou's tenure at the FCIC.
"I wish I hadn't done it," Reid said. The sudden renouncement casts doubt not only over Georgiou's credentials, but also the FCIC's findings, which were released in its final report in January. The panel pinned the mortgage mess on Wall Street. The Senate majority leader complained that Georgiou, one of six Democrats appointed to the 10-member panel, misled him about his affiliations.
Reid now claims Georgiou never made his employment with a major securities litigator known to him prior to his appointment. Georgiou works for Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd, which represents several pension funds suing Goldman Sachs and other banks demonized by the FCIC. The commission's chief investigator, Chris Seefer, also happens to be a partner at Robbins Geller.
As first reported by IBD, Georgiou spoke at a closed-door conference for pension fund lawyers hosted by Robbins Geller while he was still serving on the commission.
Georgiou was joined by FCIC chairman Phil Angelides. The commissioners promised to privately share their findings with the group, according to a conference brochure. (Excerpt) Read more at investors.com ...

Democrats thought they'd dammed up the truth about government's role in the financial crisis. But the levies are breaking, thanks to a spate of rogue new books on the subject. The latest, "Reckless Endangerment," shreds the narrative carefully constructed by Democrats and the liberal media that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were only bit players in the crisis and followed Wall Street into subprime lending.
It details how the federally chartered mortgage giants in fact led the way in relaxing underwriting standards for the entire industry thanks to relentless pressure from Democrats, who used them as off-budget piggy banks to fund their social crusade to boost minority homeownership (and shore up their voting base).
Though "Reckless Endangerment" largely repeats what conservative books like "The Great American Bank Robbery" and "The Housing Boom and Bust" have said, "Reckless" is written by a New York Times business writer.
If I choose to sacrifice, it will NOT EVER be at the direction of the boy king or his idiot Senaate majority leader. Any sacrifice I and my family make will be on our terms. End of discussion. Pry it from my cold dead hands Hussein.
Do “homeless” people hire any one? Do low income people
who pay no income tax hire anyone?

Exactly!
WHY educate ANYONE? There is NO WHERE for them to go in this sterile and shallow society.
****************
I think the answer lies in their definition of “education”. The thing they call free education we would more likely call “RE” education, ie they want this in order to indoctrinate and turn people into robotic units of labor who can mechanically vote for them and mouth the tenants of communism.
It is more important that his ideas and policies are defeated at the polls, lest a successor employ sympathy to further the agenda.
I vote that we share in the sacrifice of the parasites and government class who hold this country back.

Ever heard of passing a BUDGET, ReidIdiot? Two years and counting moron.... =.=
In Modern times, since 1776, whenever a movement has lead to the systematic extermination of thousands, or even millions of people, it always started out as being against ‘ the rich’, or ‘The People against the Powerful’.
In fact, in securing the ‘schools’ (there are long and vicious fights over THIS everywhere on earth EXCEPT the US) tyrants are well on their way to gaining EVERYTHING.
Yet, the voters in this country of fat, lazy cattle have voluntarily relinquished their children (AND their own futures) to unprincipled, greedy and power-mad brutes who love pretending they are doing what is best for the ‘children’! Keeping children stupid, docile and UNEMPLOYABLE is paying off as you see!!
I could throw up!
Thanks sickoflibs.
