If the US Constituion is the supreme law of the land, all other laws notwithstanding, than the ATF has always been a criminal organization, dedicated to the enforcement of unjust and unconstitutional laws. The CleanUpATF.org misses the point in its name - it shouldn't be "cleaned up" to more efficiently violate the fundamental constitutional rights of gun owners, smokers, and drinkers, it should be abolished entirely.
The ATF is entirely made up of gun control nutjobs in the first place, intent on prosecuting people for possession of realistic toys, malfunctioning semi-auto rifles, and 14-inch pieces of string.
I dont think F&F was at all based in incompetence. The running of it was but the ideas behind it weren’t. From its inception the idea, the goal was always about disarming the American people. The idea was to take one or 2 cases and let the MSM inflate those into news giving Congress cover to pass new gun laws. That was its main goal, a convert operation used to disarm us. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if some in the media understood this going it. They just didn’t report it until forced to.

As for Waco anyone w/ a functioning brain understands that the ATF w/ the help of our military murdered the Davidians. In the aftermath the liberals and RINOS in Congress made a show trial to exonerate them. Yet the voters seemed unconcerned. For the ATF the lesson was plenty clear. Murder of American citizens is on the menu and the sky is the limit. This is why we’re where we are today.
During the meeting, President Obama dropped in and, according to Sarah Brady, brought up the issue of gun control, “to fill us in that it was very much on his agenda,” she said.
“I just want you to know that we are working on it,” Brady recalled the president telling them. “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”
There is no way that the CIA didn’t know about these operations.

I have heard a few places talk about the cartels getting their guns from America and Americans but they’re totally leaving out the fact that the guns came from the ATF!!!
I’ve always suspected the gun control story was a cover story, when in fact they are actually arming someone up.
There used to be a mom ‘n’ pop general store near me, with a pistol range in the barn out back. When they retired, a church moved into the store, and someone kept operating the range. The sign read:
Higher Praise Christian Church
Pistol Range
The store’s been through a bunch of tenants in the last few years, and the pistol range is shut down. I think they do karate in the barn now.

You have made a very interesting observation. Clearly, Melson did not decide to cooperate without considerable negotiation. During the period of negotiation, and afterword, he would have been smart to gather as much ammunition in tapes, emails, and written communication as possible. It is all bargaining chips now. He is trying to hold on to his pension and to stay out of jail.
Anyone above Melson, or in another agency that worked with him, has to be wondering just how much has gotten out at this point.
A big question is: Did Melson inform Issa of the Tampa ATF office gunwalking? If he did not, he can be subject to prosecution for that, if it is shown that he knew of it.
Plausible . . . and/or just working to increase mayhem, death, destruction, chaos, anarchy wherever possible.

There is NO viable reason, other than to undermine OUR rights and use it as an excuse to impose gun registration of AR15, AK47, FNFAL, ect., etc., military-pattern rifles.

Maybe originally an unwilling Patriot - but while HE is in that position, the Maniac Traver from Chicago CAN’T be the director of ATF. And I have to believe that Traver is the b*stard that FUBO wants in that position all along, and this is just another excuse to get him there.
Thinl back a few months ago, before this all started boiling over...remember the news reports about ATF demanding that border state gun stores report ALL multiple sales of “assault rifle” style long arms?
No, this was long-planned and conceived. And thank God that that some of the thugs in “F-Troop” are the incompetent, imbecilic Affirmative Action hires that they are, and it is getting exposed.
Hopefully the GOP will take active measures to have these assh*les arrested and put in jail. I won’t hold my breath though.
