From an earlier thread on Melson's testimony

Another point Melson clarified for investigators was that the ATF group carrying out the mission of Operation Fast and Furious was placed under the direction of the Arizona U.S. Attorney’s office.

I'm thinkin' it's about time to start looking a little more closely at a LOT of different US Attorneys' offices.

It’s pretty simple. This Admin HATES guns...and wants to exercise GUN CONTROL domestically. How better, than to get a bunch of US guns involved in MURDERS and crime, and then cry OUT for the need of gun control? Remember...this admin never wastes a crisis. Who says they won’t CREATE one to use?

Wil Obama and Holder turn on each other, go down together, or get off scott free together?

I'm gonna have to go with Scot Free. When the lawbreakers are the law enforcers too, not much happens. Sorta like an "internal investigation" by the local PD after shooting an unarmed citizen in a botched drug raid. Stall, stall, stall, until something like the Casey Anthony trial comes along and captures the attention of the masses and viola, problem solved! Bahjehz, We dun need no steenkin bahjehz.

That demonization was a propaganda story that was quickly realized to involve about 7 weapons that the Mexican government had sent to the US for tracing.

The NYT, LAT, WarshPost and other Leftwingtard operations ran the stories under their own or "attributed" bylines.

Those stories are no longer available at the WarshPost public server.

The "gunrunner" program seems to have been designed to fill the gap with real guns!

Ill assume your question isn’t rhetorical. F&F’s primary goal was to manufacture ‘evidence’ that guns from the US were causing significant problems in Mex. and the border. Therefore, it would be incumbent on Congress to draft and pass even more stringent (draconian really) gun control such as a permanent ban on ‘assault weapons’ etc etc. How do we know this was the purpose? First, the ATF had no means of tracking the weapons after they left the country. Once guns were confiscated at crime scenes in Mex there was no way to do a back trace b/c 1) the ATF never told the Mex authorities about their op and 2) the ATF had no substantial presence in Mex with which to do the leg work of sorting thru the weapons and doing the traces. In the last few days there have been news stories saying that guns from F&F have shown up in crimes scenes here. So, our own govt was in the business of abridging our rights...that quite some stmt isn’t it!! At this point the talking TV heads and pols in DC are singing the ATF had the best of intentions song. Soon though its going to become obvious just how wrong they’ve been to cover for the ATF and the Barry Soetoro administration..

Thats only half the story tho. Theres another class of weapons which haven’t been discussed much. Those would be DDs (grenades mostly I think) and select fire weapons. The SF weapons certainly wouldn’t have come from US gun dealers, they’re far too expensive, not so prevalent (most at least) and the time for a sale can be very long (months). As for the grenades found at crime scenes they’ve been proven to be of US origin via military aid. That means Mex or some other South American govt is selling its military aid (or surplus) on the black market or even directly to the drug cartels. Then there are all those weapons which originated in China, Russia etc. Basically, they’re using the drug cartels to wage war against the US and the Mex people. LOL, and the UN huffs and puffs about stopping small arms trafficking. Its their own members who are up to their eyeballs in it. I cant think of any rational reason they’d stop b/c the UN said so.

“I just want you to know that we are working on it,” Brady recalled the president telling them. “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”

I think this would qualify as a process "under the radar."

We definitely have to go back and see what "W"'s little buddy Sullivan was into. Then there's Ashcroft (lead partner in the same law firm) and Gonzales.

Exactly why did they want the border sector from the Gulf of California to Big Bend OPEN.

“Okay, I’ve had enough of this crap.”

So?

“All holy hell is going to break loose if A. this crap isn’t stopped immediately. B. Current laws on the books are not brought into line with the McDonald and Heller decisions. C. Any new anti-gun laws are passed.”

A. It won’t stop. It never does.
B. One case at a time, kicking and screaming and taking advantage of the stupidly high cost of filing and winning suits.
C. There will be.

So whatcha gonna do about it?

Cummings did more to draw attention to his probable involvement in organized crime than it did to cause concern about “too many guns on the street”.

Well it’s starting to look like the ATF is really just a gunrunning operation.

All those jokes about "Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms" being a convenience store, not a government agency? They weren't joking.

Mexico gets most of its guns from Central and/or South America. If the admin wanted to get weapons into the hands of Mexican criminals, makes sense they’d send guns there.

G-d Help us!

Not sure He hears us any-more. If He can turn His back on His chosen people, where does that put America?/ with its’ idolatry, abortion and homosexuality, just to mention a few?
America is as the Jews of Old Testament. When you eat the fatted calf too long, you tend to forget about the God of Israel who provided the feast.
