Clemens didn’t kill anybody though. He just lied about Baseball, something Congress should NOT be talking about in the first place.

What a joke. Meanwhile Rangel, Maxine Waters and now Eric Holder get a pass? Clemens case is lame in comparison—tempest in a teapot.

Funny how it is a crime to lie to liars.
Sad,however that ballplayers already good enough for Cooperstown sully their glory with the “cheater asterisk” that will hang next to their records for delaying passing their prime with drugs.
Hank Aaron is still the homerun king,Roger Marris is still the single season HR leader and Walter Johnson will remain the greatest pitcher without the cheater *

While I agree with you in principal, Clemons lying through his teeth was just flat out stupid. What a friggin’ ego he has to think he would get a pass on it.

For all that say Barry Bonds’ HR records shouldn’t stand, keep in mind that these pitchers he was facing were on Test, HGH and all kinds of PEPs.

It all equals out.

And he played a majority of his career in two of the least hitter friendly parks in the league.

Hell, had Willie Mays not lost a couple of years to the Army and then played in an enclosed Candlestick Park during his prime, he would have hit 1,000 HR’s.

Unfortunately, we borrowed the money from our great great great grandchildren to pay for this DOJ publicity show trial.

Bonds was a pumped up Frankenstein—his capsize increased dramatically he was so overdosed and nobody knows how many pitchers he faced were dosed but he certainly was dosed at every pitch.
He gets the asterisk * home run record i.e, best of the dopers.

Every time that Obama’s poll numbers tank there’s either a prosecution or a Congressional investigation concerning performance enhancing drugs.

Simply amazing. Prosecuting Clemens for lying to Congress about baseball. I’m speechless.

So it’s OK for Billy Jeff, Mawgli, Holder, Sandy Berger, Pelosi, Reid, Geithner, and the rest of these charlatans in Washington to lie to us, but they prosecute a baseball player for doing to the same thing to them.

The world is truly upside-down.

Can't he claim he was selling assault weapons to MexiNarcoTerrorists to fund his steroid habit?

That should get him off!

I dislike Roger Clemens. He is a dummy. And used steroids. And lied about it.

But you know what?

WHO FRIKKING CARES??????

This makes me angry beyond WORDS to see this farce going down. What are they going to do, throw him in jail for lying in his testimony? Oh, wait...who else can I think of who lied in testimony under oath and not only didn’t go to jail, but kept his job, pension and reputation intact?

This crap is literally fiddling while the republic burns.

You really hit the nail on the head. The biggest farce was creating a congressional investigation on sterioids in MLB while the country was disintergrating econmomically.

I have said it at other threads. When it finally hits the fan, we need to round up all the legislators (present and former) and make them accountable for this disaster. Lifetime imprisonment seems equitable.
