.At his press conference on Monday, President Obama made clear that his frustration with House Republicans' intransigence in negotiations to raise the federal borrowing limit did not extend to their leader. "I think Speaker Boehner has been very sincere about trying to do something big," Obama said, one of several compliments in an extended embrace of his negotiating partner. "The politics that swept him into the speakership were good for a midterm election; they're tough for governing."
Tough indeed. And a death hug from a polarizing Democratic President doesn't make the task easier for Boehner. From the start of his speakership, Boehner has been forced to contend not just with a fractious band of freshmen who would rather risk economic catastrophe than give ideological ground, but also with a top lieutenant positioning himself as Boehner's purist foil. “The politics that swept him into the speakership were good for a midterm election; they’re tough for governing”
What a pantload!
This is like saying that the urges that led one to impregnate a woman do not prepare one to be a good husband and father. GROW UP! This is not a time for “Governing”, this is a time for acting and doing what you promised to do when we sent you there, and created a Republican majority in the House.
Stop crying and do your job!

Rush predicted we’d see a slew of articles claiming Reoublican infighting and deep spolits within the party. Coming from Time, I’d say he’s correct. Waiting for his take on McConnels proposal .... it may be a master stroke of triangulation..or not. I’m still of open mind. 0bama owns this mess, every bit of it.
What happened to Kanter?

“Cantor knows he is on the short list to get Tea Partied out of his seat if he keeps screwing up.”
That’s why I love the Tea Party! They have made things they way they are supposed to be. The congress critters have to answer to us!
No tax increases. Real Cuts, THIS YEAR.
Or, no debt hike.
Let it crash.
Is there such a thing as a Democrat hardliner?
Yes. It’s called “all of them”
