More ‘Gunwalker’ Emails Suggest Gun-Control Conspiracy
pajamasmedia.com ^ | 15 July, 2011 | Bob Owen

A Washington Times editorial notes that Operation Fast and Furious was “too fast, too furious,” as the gunrunning scandal continues to widen.

It was bad enough that more than a half-dozen director-level law enforcement officials and an unknown number of supervisors and managers acquiesced to a plot that armed cartels with more than 2,000 weapons in ATF’s Phoenix Field Operations area. But saying that a combination of groupthink, stupidity, and institutional inertia is to blame for this fiasco is giving dozens of federal law enforcement officers across multiple agencies the benefit of the doubt that they are merely criminally incompetent.

The increasingly more plausible motivation: political appointees of the current administration concocted a scheme to destabilize a friendly government to restore the flagging anti-gun movement.

That scenario would have seemed paranoid just weeks ago, but new evidence appearing almost daily indicates that the “Fast and Furious” scandal based in Arizona may be just one part of a much wider campaign by multiple government agencies acting well beyond the law.

Recent developments indicate that in addition to Fast and Furious in Arizona, another gunrunning operation was headquartered in ATF’s Tampa Field Operations area. It allowed roughly 1,000 firearms to be smuggled to the ultra-violent MS-13 gang in Honduras.

Evidence also suggests that similar multi-agency programs exist in both the Houston and Dallas Field Operations areas covering all of Texas and Oklahoma.

Taken together, this suggests that we are not dealing with an isolated incident, but an ambitious and insidious attempt by the highest levels of a rogue government to reshape our world by any means necessary.

Katie Pavlich broke the story yesterday of a ”smoking gun” email between ATF officials: Mark R Chait, assistant director for field operations with the ATF, copied ATF deputy assistant director for field operations on an email to William Newell, the special agent in charge (SAC) of the Phoenix Field Division:

Bill – Can you see if these guns were all purchased from the same FfL and at one time. We are looking at anecdotal cases to support a letter on long gun multiple sales.

Chait was asking Newell to use tracing data to support an initiative supported by the administration to require the reporting of multiple rifle sales.

If that sounds familiar, it should; this week, President Obama pushed an executive order — an end-run around Congress – stating the feds will now require the reporting of multiple rifle sales within a five-day period. That the office of the presidency lacks the constitutional authority to enact such a rule seems irrelevant to this administration, which is certain to see this edict challenged in court if the ATF attempts to enforce it.

Even more damning: the existence of more emails that confirm these same ATF officials and others were colluding to use the Operation “Fast and Furious” guns that they helped smuggle into Mexico as a pretext for the new reporting regulation.

Congressman Darrell Issa and Senator Charles Grassley continue to unravel this plot. Along with the emails proving that the ATF was using “walked” guns to justify stricter gun laws, they sent a letter to embattled Attorney General Eric Holder asking the following:

1. Is there any other evidence suggesting that ATF of DOJ officials discussed how Operation Fast and Furious could be used to justify additional regulatory authorities for the ATF? IF so, are there any such indications prior to July 14, 2010?

2. Rather than collecting additional information on law-abiding gun owners, what steps have you taken to ensure that the ATF is better able to act on the information it already possesses to interdict the flow of firearms to criminals?

If most of the claims regarding this scandal are substantiated — and developing evidence certainly indicates a high likelihood of that happening — we face a watershed moment in American history.

Every component of federal law enforcement within the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security — and most likely with the knowledge of the Department of State — undertook a massive operation designed to facilitate the flow of thousands of weapons into the hands of some of the most vicious criminal organizations on Earth. These operations likely took place with the full knowledge of cabinet level officials, and possibly the White House. The weapons “walked” were used to gun down innocent men, women, and children, not to mention the brave police officers and soldiers in each nation trying to wage peace.

It demands a criminal investigation and the possible RICO prosecution of dozens of federal law enforcement officers, supervisors, senior management, political appointees, and possibly elected officials.

Our federal law enforcement apparatus became a criminal conspiracy. This was an assault on the democratic rule of law and the very essence of our republic.

“they are merely criminally incompetent.”

Nope! They are not incompetent, criminals - Yes. Incompetent no.

PS What they did is also treason.

Wow , I always figured that the gun control angle was the motivation but I never thought they would be stupid enough to document it in writing.

Now I am wondering if they will find evidence of the Obama Administration was a actually coordinating the escalation in violence directly with the drug cartels.

It would not surprise me a bit. Remember, Holder was the advocate for the release of the FMLN terrorists under Clinton. Holders Law firm was also representing Gitmo terrorists and a lot of high level Justice people brought in from Holder's law firm have close ties to terrorists and drug cartels.

Jest’ wonderin’. Accounts on this issue I’ve seen on the “anti” side go out of their way to mention AKs, 5.7’s and ARs. Strikes me as rather “uncoincidental”. Now if we could just find some correspondence.

Regardless, OFF, aka PGW doesn’t pass the “duck test” IMO. As a firm adherent of Occam’s Razor, when I look at all the “brush” the OA has thrown up, I can’t but believe a “close shave” will reveal a lot of facts Americans won’t find all that palatable. >PS

Hopefully, the gun dealers will sue the federal government as they were put in danger of being jailed for selling to the cartels. I’m wondering what the Democrats would do if they carried out their plans to the end. Would the coup de grace be the throwing of the gun dealers under the bus for selling thousands of guns to the Mexican cartels? Just think how the gun dealers would look after the story came out. Who would believe them when they said that the feds made them do it? And what would the feds say? No doubt they would deny it making the gun dealers look like outrageous liars. Anyone digging into the story would be accused of being a conspiracy theorist and would be made to look like a delusional fool.

Not to people who have watched the marxists for 45 or so years. This is what they do world wide. Our marxists behave just like DPRK marxists, Cuban marxists, really any marxists world wide. Subvert and conquer. The marxists have demonstrated throughout history they will do anything to take power. Only fools in the news media couldn't see this coming.

Yes it is huge. There is nothing that can be done here except for the armed forces cleaning house. While the house can impeach the senate will never convict. People still do not seem to get it; democrats want to destroy this country and they will do anything to do so. They will band together to protect their evil from exposure and justice. It's what they do. When this is proven, and it will be, the armed forces need to step up and defend the nation against the marxists.

The carefully crafted web begins to unravel. Caught in its sticky threads is the entire leadership of the Obama administration.
Screeching and howling will ensue from the bastions of support for this corrupt administration, especially those useful idiots who comprise the MSM.
The enormity of this criminal conspiracy will reach the feckless and unenlightened whose nieve sentiments will grudgingly yield to sadness and anger.
We will witness the first impeachment and conviction of a sitting president. To protect iself from obliteration Senate democrats will become the vehicle of unfamiliar justice.

There are a lot of potential feedback loops here. The straw buyers could be influenced by the American media who hawk those types. The shop owners could be more on the look out for those type of firearm sales because of the media hype.

I suspect that if a shop owner called the ATF with a report of a someone buying a couple of .22 single shot rifles, they would not be interested, unless they needed some leverage to forcibly recruit an informant, such as Randy Weaver.

Has anyone banged a list of “walked guns” sorted by caliber/make/model

I have seen mention of Five Sevens, and AR-15s, both of which have been hit list favorites by anti-gunners.

It will take a Special Prosecutor to get an honest criminal investigation and to make a RICO case.

that only the Community Organizer himself could be stupid enough to try and pull this off- LBJ was a slimeball, a crook, totally unscrupulous but he did not have JFK killed.

When you look at the evidence that was altered to hide the conspiracy, there is a very small population of people who could have pulled off forgery AND owned the investigation so they could get the needed answers. Hoover and LBJ were the only ones who could have done it.

In GUNWALKER, only the Community Organizer could have ordered this operation. It wasn't an AG or even Holder, it was Barry. Issa knows this and he's just trying to watch the pawns commit purgery so he can go after the King.

I don't deal in tinfoil, I deal with facts.

I sent these letters to my senators & well continue to send them to congressmen,....every day.

Senator Nelson,

I have 2 concern and believe it or not the first concern is not the budget. (which we would like to see the budget cut dollar for dollar with the increase-for the year and not over 10years) And we diffently do not want McConnell’s b plan.

My main concern is “Fast and Furious”. More and more evidence is coming to light that Obama, Holder, ATF (top people as well as others) pretended to be fighting drug cartels, but really was telling Az guns stores to sell UNTAGGED guns to those they knew where criminals & let them take them over the border. There were also guns going from Tampa to MS-13 gangs in Honduras . These are the one’s we know of now. 3000+ guns to criminals, which was used to kill innocent people in Mexico, our country & who knows who else.

What was the purpose to let these guns go untagged to CRIMINALS? It appears at least part of the reason was to make it appear gunowners/gunsales people in the US were breaking the law and guns were getting into foreign countries to criminals causing the deaths of (how many?) Mexican’s (30,000 have died in near the border in the last few years-men, women & children) Then Obama/Holder… would use that reason (causing other countries to become unstable….) He would issue an execitive order stopping gun sales in US. Already he has started putting restrictions on gun owners, just this past week (just like the memo below says) Most people stop there questions at this point. I think the more important question is why would this administration want to stop legal Amercian citizens in this country from buying guns? Another question is, if they are so concerned about gun violence and people having guns in this country, why are they not in inner city pawn shops following guns where 90% of crimes happen? If they were really concerned about the cartels, why we’re all the guns tagged? And WHY would this let the violent gang MS-13 have guns?

These are serious high CRIMES that have accurred. I do hope you talk to Issa & Grassley to make sure they don’t back off of this. We hope they have already gone to Supreme Court Justice Thomas to force them to hand over computers, memos,…. otherwise they will either destroy them. I would also put a few people in protective custody. I know we don’t want to believe things like this can happen, but we have to be wise when dealing with people who break the law.
