West: Obama supporters ‘a threat to the gene pool’
Palm Beach Post ^ | July 19, 2011 | George Bennett

Posted on 07/20/2011 7:36:48 PM PDT by bkopto

In his latest weekly update to constituents, U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Plantation, calls the debate over the federal government’s debt limit “the ultimate ideological clash in America…between those who believe in principled fiscal policies and those desiring the socialist bureaucratic nanny-state.”

He rips President Obama‘s handling of fiscal affairs and the economy and offers this critique of Obama’s supporters:

“I must confess, when I see anyone with an Obama 2012 bumper sticker, I recognize them as a threat to the gene pool.”

I heard Ted Baxter bloviating about the Wasserman Schultz smackdown. I like this even better. West knows what he’s doing.

I guess you missed the democrats behavior over the past century, and yet they march on.

At some point this fight needs to be framed around liberty vs. statist control, that means some heads are going to get knocked. If you can’t sell liberty then move out of the way.

Time to start chucking it into the end zone.

Unfortunately, the RP leadership is not capable, and that is because they are caught up in minutia and pleasing a selfish electorate.

Ever since 1980 the close Presidential elections have been won by the candidate getting the independents or as the pollsters call them undecideds.

I remember the 1980 election is was pretty close until the Sunday before election day and then it turned decisively for Reagan. It was the independents that make up their minds at the end of close elections who choose the winners.

Folks can theorize about whether or not the base is going to stay home or not but it really docent matter its getting the last minute independent/undecided vote that wins elections

Anybody West, Pa;in or O has to get independent votes to get elected president period.

You sound like a true inside the beltway puke. I am sick and tired of this gutless, sissy and useless pandering to weak willed POS moderates.

2012 will NOT be a campaign to win over contemptible moderates. 2012 will be a campaign to excite conservatives to rise up and vote in great numbers.

More conservatives (and Liberals) sit home on election day than the election changing moderate vote.

Our Republic is nearing the point of destruction. Screw pandering to the moderates -- we need to bring the base out in numbers not seen in US History. That will win the day.

In order for our Republic to survive, we need to politically destroy the evil left, and the programs they have created.

Show me the numbers. I don't believe "moderates" won it for Reagan. Reagan excited the base to vote in much greater numbers than in 1976 and also won over a large swath of what would be known as, Reagan Democrats.

“Time to start chucking it into the end zone”

Is usually a losing strategy by the team that is behind.

I don't think conservatism is neither a losing strategy nor is it behind in the game of politics.

All politics in the final analysis is about winning elections. Its about knowing the electorate and how to get their vote. Most here will vote for the GOP irregardless but the folks here are not going to elect the next president its that small group of independents that will,,

That liberal-progressive gene self-destructs by committing Darwinian suicide after the person realizes they can’t survive in reality.

In case you haven’t noticed, the statists have built a bureaucratic nightmare with the help of those precious independents. The ruling class have been nasty along the way, and not in the least bit thankful for the wealth and power handed to them.

Sit around some liberals some day, they absolutely hate you and are not afraid to let people know it.

These are thieves and the electorate is being conned and selfish. They need to hear it.

Ive certainly noticed everything you have said and as I said in my first post I agree with Col West and he is my candidate of choice.

I want to see him WIN and he will need the independent voter to do so like it or not..

Did they write an article when then Florida Congressman Alan Grayson said “Republicans want people to die”?

Let's see, a sarcastic comment about the Gene Pool or Murder. Hmmmmm...

Joe, I have a different idea about those “independent” last minute voters. They have no depth of political interest. They tend to decide late and they usually decide on the candidate who is generating the most excitement and the largest crowds. They interpret that as a sign of a winner and they go with who they think is going to win. So far
Sarah Palin is hands down the biggest crowd magnet I’ve ever seen, and the media can’t help keeping her in the news. The crowd noise is up to us. We have to provide the ground game.

I would not disagree with you about the “independent” last minute voters. We have a culture of celebrity and many are drawn to the celebrity and perceived winner like moths.

But also folks turn on the celebrity in an instant take Tiger Woods for example. Which brings me to my original point that any winning president has to know the electorate and not alienate the small number that decides elections

On Nov. 6, 2012, we will really piss into that gene pool and wipe out all its scum life. By then, unemployment at over 9-10% will become a permanent way of life and a lot of former Democrats are going to line up at the voting urinals and deliver their votes.

Obama: No more Red Tide. This time, “Beware the Yellow Tide.”
