McCain vs. the Tea Party
New York Times ^

Posted on 07/27/2011 11:53:56 AM PDT by Windy City Conservative

Mr. McCain mocked Tea Party-allied Republicans in the House for believing — wrongly, he said — that President Obama and Democrats will get the blame for a default if Republicans refuse to increase the nation’s debt ceiling. By that flawed logic, “Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced budget amendment and reform entitlements and the Tea Party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth,” he said, quoting a Wall Street Journal editorial. “This is the kind of crack political thinking that turned Sharron Angle and Christine O’Donnell into G.O.P. nominees,” he jeered, referring to two losing Tea Party candidates for the Senate in 2010.

>”Thanks, Sarah, for supporting this freak for Senate, again”<

Here we go again. If Sarah had not supported McCain, the guy that brung her to the dance, she would have been eviscerated for her lack of Loyalty by members of both Parties.

Personally, I think McCain just jumped the Shark for the final time. Not only did he alienate a large part of the GOP Voting base, he put his former Vice Presidential Nominee in a no win situation which will only damage her future Political career.

Sarah will have to: (1)Ignore the slander directed at the Tea Party of which she is a member, (2)Directly respond to the comment while saying she respects McCain's service to the country but not his opinion on this matter, or (3)Bitch Slap McCain and let the excrement hit the fan.

Any respect I had for McCain for the sacrifices he made for this country have now evaporated with his attack on the belief system of millions of Patriotic Americans whose only sin is demanding allegiance to the Constitution of the United States.

McCain may be an ass, but he understands who holds power and who will get the blame. He’s just telling it like it us, even if 90% of folks here don’t want to believe it. He’s right, we WILL get the blame.

And guess what kids, with the blame means we LOSE the House, don’t take control of the Senate. There are points in time that reality has to set in. This is one of those points in time. You get the best deal you can now, then you go get another good deal the next time, and then again the next time. If you shoot for the moon to get it all now, you lose it all. The reality is that reversing this course of expenditures will not happen in this bill alone or this raising of the debt ceiling.

He’s right on O’Donnell, he’s right on Angle...there were many of us here that told you that then and you didn’t believe it. He’s right on this as well, but we’ll just be stupid and secure additional years of liberal rule because we just never understand how to take small victories and build on them. Instead, we shoot for the homerun every time, swing and miss and then wonder why the other team is on the field all the time.

John McInsane, the Loser Candidate has no business telling Patriotic Americans in the Tea Party how to think!

If that stumblebum had a pair of testicles that had DROPPED, he might have stood a chance against a sissified Kenyan Commie. But nope, and look at the major asskicking he got.

The only reason McInsane got ANYWHERE NEAR the support he got is because, in an blind squirrel moment, he chose Sarah Palin as his running mate. She got him most of his votes--he earned DICK.

I’m sure you guys realize that the Hobbit and Middle Earth comments came from an Opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal today. He was reading it into the Senate record.

Carry on with the lynching, even if the WSJ is exactly right.

Wonder how he will be able to look Marco Rubio in the eye? If I were Rubio, I'd start every speech by saying,”Even though the senior Senator from Arizona objects to the people who elected me, .....” He would apologize to me and everyone of my constituents. How does this make you feel TEA party? To know that this miserable piece of worthless human debris, thinks you to be low lifes? Makes me mad a hell. I agree. Call his office and just tell the person on the phone one of the hobbits just calling to say Hi.

McCain got an earful from Arizona Tea Party folks and he is on Hannity trying to lie his way out saying he was only channeling what OTHERS said about the Tea Party.Hannity is all but calling him a liar and if anyone has seen the video of him insulting the Tea Party and loving every minute of Hannity is right.

Of all the disgusting RINOs McCain is the RINOESTIESTS.

When McCainn was busy campaigning for President, he managed to find time everyday to launch at least one insult at the conservatives who were supporting him.

Why should he change his ways, now that he's been re-elected to his fiefdom?

I do believe McCain might be the second most undeserving person to ever run for President...

Well it doesn't make me mad. It just shows that he is bad-natured, rude, and pompous. Best way to respond is with a smile and joke-like Reagan.

Besides, hobbits were some of the heroes, and I would rather be a hobbit than a dark-lord, servant of Mordor, or traitor like Sauroman.

Pretty good analogy actually, if you consider Washington DC to be present day Mordor, and Obammy the Dark Lord, Most Dems are Orchs. We in the heartland are middle earth.

I think I'll call him and thank him for the compliment.LOL.

So, you let down your guard and got infected by the bug.

That's a well-worn leftist meme that has been used to inflict harm on Governor Palin. I won't bother explaining for the hundreth time.

McCain’s past heroism deserves the honors accorded to Benedict Arnold’s leg. Honor it, bury it and be done with it!

It’s become increasingly regrettable that McCain did not emulate Nathan Hale while in NVA custody,

Had he done so, he would have lived on in history as one of the heroic martyrs to the cause of Freedom and would have had buildings, roads and schools named after him.

Instead, he will leave public life as a quintessential political sleaze and the abject failure who enabled obama.

It is well beyond time for him to accept the fact that the honorable route for him is immediate resignation and retirement. Arizona can do so much better!

Palin needs to kick JUAN firmly and irreversibly to the curb.

I'm sure he's getting on her very last nerve about now, but this is not the time for her to start an intramural feud with any other Republican. There are just too many delicate planning steps for her to carefully execute before her big announcement.

I'm sure she'll deal with uncle crazy when the time is right.
