In the shrimp spine boner would admit he is a complete failure and say he would step down and retire at the end of this term I would agree with you. Otherwise, the leadership in congress has got to be fired. Because they are as useless as tits on a boar hog.

Frankly, there is not enough folks in DC who can look beyond Power, to save this country. It’s about blame and power. Not about saving this once great nation. There are no country saving solutions in either of these bills, just deals. It’s pretty sad actually.

The financial tool that we have that is most likely to save us is CCB... brought to us by the people most likely to save us... Tea Party folks.

We need more of them.

I could not agree more. The CCB is the only solution. But the folks in DC are about blame and power. Not about solutions. It appears only a collapse will re-boot this country, since the DC crowd are in denial.
Unless something dramatic happens in DC soon, this country will fold within 10 years.

RE :”I don’t have a problem raising the debt limit. I have a problem with future phantom cuts and the Blue-Ribbon Commission. CUT SPENDING NOW.

I agree with you 100% on that and I have been posting that same thought regularly for a couple on months now. It urks me that they keep on doing this .

FNC Special report today reported Boehner was forced to move 90B of cuts into FY12, If true that is a hell-of-a-lot better than anything we will get if the wheels go off the bus and Obama gets to write the final bill.

I remember all the tough talk in 1995 especially by Rush leading up to the shutdown, and while Newt still claims Clinton caved to him, Newt completely caved, gave Clinton EVERYTHING he demanded and he even paid the government workers for the time of the shutdown costing even more money than keeping the government open. Newt had no idea how to fight and win a battle like that. He thought winning would be automatic and easy.

"You probably will have your wish and tomorrows bill will never be put into law, but the one that Democrats cheering it's failure demand will not be to your liking. "

I disagree.

Reid cannot get any bill through the Senate that is liked by the progressive left.

Remember, of the 33 Senators up for reelection in 2012, 23 are democrats. Of those 23, 15 are from red or battleground states.

WHATEVER bill passes the Senate will have real cuts and will not include a tax increase. And, I believe, will not gut the military.

I know Reid's "plan" does gut the military, but any final bill will not.

The heat is about to shift to the Senate. Pass a bill. Any bill. Just pass one.

Clinton had leverage and FBI files on Gingrich. During that time, Gingrich was banging his girlfriend, while still married.

You pass the bill you want first. When it’s rejected, sit tight until the other side puts something in writing. Otherwise the GOP goes down the tubes owning the “The Boehner Bill.” If we must lose, make it their plan.

I dont think that strategy is going to work in this case. Obama has done a great job for a month play acting like he has done everything humanly possible to get Republicans to sign onto the big deal. While he was creating a picture, House Republicans were once again like 1995 just assuming voters would take their side automatically, in fact some have said they dont care if Republicans lose the election. Well, Democrats care. Democrats really want to win.

Given that Democrats will NEVER accept this bill as is, it is the followup negotiations to worry about, not this bill. Republicans already passed the bill they wanted, thank God, so this bill's purpose is to put Democrats back on the defensive.

RE :”Reid cannot get any bill through the Senate that is liked by the progressive left.

Right now no bill will gain support of Senate 60. But if Republicans join Democrats in defeating this House bill, then the clock ticks down and the news stories get worse and worse and worse all relating everything bad happening to the debt limit and a certain party refusing to compromise, Obama's been working that angle for over a month. And Democrats point out that Republicans failed to pass even this ‘extreme’ bill. Obama is on TV still pleading for compromise on taxes (as those checks get cut off and the stock market dives), but he will accept a bill WITH NO BUDGET CUTS of three trillion if he is forced to by Republicans, only to ‘save the country’. Well you remember 1995, Republicans were sure that was a slam dunk too.

With this House bill to challenge Democrats with which they will fight to kill, Republicans at least have a fighting chance of keeping many congressional Republicans from surrendering to a really bad deal by putting Democrats back on the defensive.

RE :"I don’t want a deal, and none of my friends here in Arizona do either!"

Well we will get a debt limit increase one way or the other. But I suspect the terms will be much WORSE than this House bill that ALL Democrats have vowed to kill. You get that last part? ALL Democrats! I am NOT joining Obama, Pelosi and Reid and all those liberals on MSNBC. I cant do it.

Nah, Joe Kapp.

Joe Kapp was a very good quarterback and still shares the NFL record for most touchdown passes in a game, 7. He was one of the toughest quarterbacks of all times once knocking cold a player who tried to tackle him.

Our problem is, people like McCain.

What good does it do to have a backbone, if your own team members are going to shred you for the Democrats?

If we don’t have people in the Senate that can handle the job, I wish ten Congressmen would pay McCain a visit in the hospital to remind the ass why they put him there.

This guy has short-circuited more decent Conservative legislation than Ded Kennedy was able to.

RE :”I wish Boehner would just give up trying to fool the conservatives. IT WILL NOT WORK ANYMORE. If the TEA party Reps. will not vote until the last 30 seconds and bring down this monstrosity, the Speaker will have to ask the Democrats and the President to put something on paper acceptable to the entire Republican caucus.

There is a much better possibility that if the heat gets turned up on Republicans ~ after this weekend with gloomy and gloomy-er news reports, that Boehner goes to Pelosi offering surrender for her votes for a RINO/Democrat extension(much like Newt caved in 1995 after lots of tough talk) , the Republican party fractures and fights itself while Democrats cluster-bomb them both, then Pelosi takes over as Speaker again in 2013, The good news in that would be that voting NO on everything in the House against Pelosi will be a political winner again, just as it was in 2009-2010. Those were fun days. (Ok, this is the very worst case)

Democrats will be doing EVERYTHING they can to kill this bill, they dont need Republicans working with them.

RE :”Clinton had leverage and FBI files on Gingrich. During that time, Gingrich was banging his girlfriend, while still married.

So first Newt publicly bragged that he would shut the government down, and then the house held back short term continuing resolutions after Clinton vetoes which shut the government down THREE TIMES IN ROW, and voters were rallying behind Republicans (there are two versions of that part), Clinton with voters angry at him was on the verge of surrender and signing a bill with all those cuts, and so he (Clinton) called Newt up and told him he had those pictures, and Newt ran in and signed the surrender, LOL

Do you really believe non-sense like that? You do know that both Houses of congress had to pass those final surrender bills in the end to get past Clinton's veto? Newt couldn't do it alone. That's lots of pictures.

And Newt surrendered the whole battle after three weeks of shutdown just for personal reasons, and yet he remained Speaker for three more years till 1998? If that was really true HE should have been impeached.

You should write a book.

Part two could be how Clinton has pictures on Boehner.
