Whatever happens to Warren Jeff -- the media Is already guilty

SAN ANGELO, Texas - The story of Warren Jeffs and polygamy in America did not start when Texas Rangers raided the YFZ Ranch and it will not end with Mr. Jeffs' trial here in San Angelo. The truth is, the history is long and the stories plentiful enough to fill-up libraries.

But listening to many of the talking heads on the networks and cable shows these days, you would think that they personally had just discovered this strange and secretive world through their own hard work and diligent investigation.

And that's shameful. Not only does it wildly embellish their roles in this long and twisted story for their own self-aggrandizing purposes, but I believe it also sort of gives everybody else a "freepass" for having not paid attention to this chronic and systematic abuse of women and children that dates back right here in our own beloved country nearly two centuries.

The culpability and dereliction of duty of dozens, if not hundreds, of Utah and Arizona cops and elected officials over the years is even greater. Their lack of involvement and action constitutes nothing short of willful ignorance and, in many cases, outright complicity. But that discussion for another day.

Why I am not a judge. I would have said, well then your ‘god’ can come down here personally and deliever his message. I don’t deal with third parties.

(Cue trial scene of movie Oh, God!)

Warren Jeffs Back In Court After Motion to Remove Judge Fails

By KATIE KINDELAN
Aug. 1, 2011

The sexual assault trial of Warren Jeffs resumed Monday after a one-hour delay to review and reject a motion filed by the polygamist sect leader to have the longtime judge in his case, Texas District Judge Barbara Walther, removed.

Jeffs told the San Angelo, Texas, courtroom where his trial is being held today that a revelation from God prompted him to file the motion against Walther, whom he said God labeled "a woman of evil intent."

"I am to now recuse you from this case," Jeffs wrote in his transcription of the message he said was delivered to him by God on Sunday, according to the Associated Press. "Now sign order to recuse thyself; and allow this proceeding to stop ..."

Judge Walther was forced to call a recess in order to have an outside judge review the 16-page filing from Jeffs, forcing yet another delay in proceedings as the slow-moving trial began its sixth day.

Looks like Tennessee Nana guessed right when we were wondering what grounds...LOL! The judge is a "woman of evil intent."

According to several separate twitter reports, his ‘exhibit a’ is a letter from God informing the judge that God has already given her a “crippling disease that will soon take her life”.

At least he is entertaining. I would love to be in that courtroom.

Good grief. Imagine what life must be like for people who actually take him seriously.

Knowing a couple of people who actually left his compound, it was Hell.

Expert: Polygamist leader had child with girl, 15

AP By WILL WEISSERT - Associated Press | AP – 4 mins 10 secs ago

SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) — A forensic analyst says DNA evidence shows with 99.99 percent certainty that a polygamist religious leader fathered a child with a 15-year-old girl.

How long do you think it will take him to write up a new order from God to stop the trial? ;)

He could claim ‘virgin birth’ but that would be a problem since their (and Mormon theology) doesn’t even believe in that. Rather LDS theology (and the breakoffs) teach God had to have sex with Mary to conceive Jesus.

The judge had polio.

This seems to be referring to a new disease that will kill her, not the polio.

It’s time for the judge to hold him in contempt for his threats against her.

It is past time. I’m not sure why she is holding off exactly. If this goes much further it could result in a mistrial.

You may want to ping the list for these documents. First is a list of the trial witnesses (Jeffs only has 3) all the rest are prosecution and the text of the full recusal motion from today.

You really need to read the full recusal motion posted above. I laughed till I cried.

At least there will be justice in this world AND the next for Jeffs.
