>> Real leadership ... operates on the basis of principle.
Amen. Well said.
The communists really must have spent years learning how to create fear. That is all they know, fear, destruction, violence, etc.
“Rand Paul said on Hannity that the threat boner is holding over them is none of their bills will ever see the light of day.”
Boner is no different than Pelosi insofar as intimation goes. He’s real tough on conservatives, but fears and is anxious to deal with Democrats. In many respects, she is more steadfast and protects the interests of her party than he does. And she dosen’t weep.
The people who put your worthless asses in power are going to blame you for being a bunch of sissies and then vote your asses out.
They are still going to get blamed for everything just like always.
Who cares what he thinks or says, (.)bama that is.
I think that fear is the primary mode the GOP operates in when dealing with Rats. And when you make decisions out of fear, you never make good ones.
Of course Obama will be blaming the pubbies for the downgrade... That’s what Obama does... That’s why he always votes “present.” That’s why he “leads from behind.” With Obama, it’s always someone else’s fault. That’s coming no matter what. It was bound to happen unless many trillions of $$ were cut, and there’s no way that was going to happen.
Mark
Looks like there is now a “bloc” of 69 left. If boner had needed it there would have been a “bloc” of 10.

Boehner is one to make an example of. Primary him, and if does not lose the primary, third party him.
I don’t contribute to candidates very often at all, but I would pay the legal limit for either of those two options in a heartbeat.
I thought that was what the last election was about!
Then by all means, let us have the joy of giving Boehner and McConnell the blame for what they DID do this time!

Running independents is playing with fire, but ALL of them need to see an example made of this guy. It would be worth losing a Republican seat, if that seat is Boehner’s.
Bush would curl up in a ball, when the rats started with the Lies,Instead of calling them on the Carpet!
It was mutual fear. They were playing chicken on both sides. Both sides swerved at the last minute.
Great idea-Do you think they could get voted out seems like they have been there for a while
Well, it’s true that all these things would have happened, and it’s also true that no matter what, the Dems will successfully blame the GOP for it. The Dems have the media as their cheering section and there’s no way any blame will ever attach to them for anything. So we need to get used to it.
However, I think the GOP gave a nearly ludicrous image of disorganization, chaos and infighting that unfortunately make it all too easy to portray us as nutz. Why were these things not all coordinated before? Why did the self-appointed Tea Party leaders wait to the last minute to pitch a fit, when suddenly at least 3 of them announced themselves to be “Tea Party leaders” and ran forward with their non-negotiable demands?
Also, why agree to vote for something and then not do so at the last moment (so you can have it both ways, as 6 of them did).
I’m sorry, but this was a spectacle that accomplished little to nothing and made conservatives wildly easy to parody - and to blame, especially with a hostile media to begin with.
The best thing that could happen would be for some real political strategists (and not grandstanders) to emerge from this and coordinate the next issue better. It was known for weeks if not months that the debt ceiling and the budget were going to be a problem; why weren’t all these things worked out in advance?
But while I’m disappointed in the amateurish chest-pounding and non-negotiable demands (which of course always are ceded in the end), that’s only part of it. The other part of the answer is that Bambi and the Dems played this whole thing by never revealing exactly what they had in mind, thereby making it very difficult to develop a plan. So why isn’t the GOP out there morning, noon and night attacking the behavior of Obama and the Dems? I think one of the reasons we attack each other so severely is that we’re easy targets; but nobody, either in the more establishment GOP or in the newer Tea Party GOP, ever really takes on the true enemy, Obama and the Dems. We save our worst for each other.
I think I would like to stick around long enough to turn the entire GOP into the Tea Party. Who wants to start again when you can just take the big prize!
