There's nothing better than watching this on the big screen. If you are near either of these two new showings, take as many people as you can and show them the light!

It's not YOUR fault, curth -- you're just posting what was on the well-respected Conservatives4Palin website, but...

"The Undefeated" is NOT opening in San Diego this weekend.

It will open in PALM DESERT, near Palm Springs.
It is difficult for me to believe that the people marketing this amazing movie could be SO INCOMPETENT by accident.
There must be an anti-Palin stooge in there SOMEWHERE, intentionally gumming things up!

Yeah, it sure seems like they have a marketing problem. My apologies for sending out incorrect info.

I looked on boxoffice mojo and this movie has only made 105,000 dollars. What is wrong with people? FREEPERS were saying it was a hit a few weeks ago. I wonder how much it was made for. It was probably at least 3 million. I saw Transformers and that was a great movie. The market person for this movie needs to be fired immediately. Sarah should immediately fire a ton of people from this disaster. I would.

It should not really be necessary, but as President Reagan used to say about the Soviets:
"Trust, but VERIFY!"
Here is some ADDITIONAL "verification" from palinsarmy.blogspot.com:
Correction: The AMC theater in San Diego given earlier is not showing it and I have now changed to the correct theater.

If you change the date to August 5, on the Cinemas Palme site it does show that the movie is playing there.

-- snip --

just checked Aug 5th movie list at AMC Palm [in San Diego] and it doesn't show it.

Called the theatre and was told not on the list.

You were only posting what the bozos from movie company sent out -- incorrectly.

FWIW, the CORRECT venue (PALM SPRINGS, and not SAN DIEGO) is now (finally!) posted on both of the "official" websites, here:

theundefeated.cinedigm.com/tickets.html
and
victoryfilmgroup.com/theundefeatedmovie

” I wonder how much it was made for. It was probably at least 3 million.”

IMDB pegs the production budget at $1 million.

Something wrong with the movie company or whomever is running the marketing campaign.

(Maybe a Romney-bot?)

Photobucket

NO cheers, unfortunately.

The marketing person for this movie needs to be fired immediately.
I've been hoping that they would boil them in hot tar, and then pull their fingernails out, one at a time...
...but I guess FIRING will do -- for now. :)
Seriously, the way that the folks marketing this incredible movie have BUTCHERED it's initial release borders on CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE.

I'll be at the Andrew Breitbart event tomorrow night in Hollywood, and plan to ask HIM how we can salvage this extraordinary campaign tool.

It isn’t Palin’s movie, how could she fire anyone?

As I posted previously:
The major flaw in their theatrical release strategy so far (IMHO) has been in the TIMING of their "new showings" announcements.

We had THREE WEEKS notice before the grand opening in Orange, CA.
And, we had roughly 250 people at the 5 pm show, and 300 (sold out!) at the 7 pm show.

We had THREE DAYS notice before the opening one week later in Ontario, CA — about 40 miles away.
And, we had roughly 10 people at the 6 pm show, and 20 at the 8 pm show.

Same movie. Similar part of the country. Similar demographics/political breakdown.

Hmmm. I wonder if there is any connection between ADVANCE NOTICE and ATTENDANCE. ;)

If they’re not going to ADVERTISE the damn thing, they will have to give us MUCH MORE TIME
to get the word out through "non-traditional" channels.

From a comment just posted on today's Open Thread at conservatives4palin.com:
Team Sarah emailed me back on Tuesday:
It seems that the theater information we received was incorrect.

The film will open in the Palm Springs area on August 5th but the link we were provided was for a San Diego theater.

A corrected email will be sent out to Team Sarah members.  My apologies.

If you want to help make sure that the film is a success...

What do you mean? I was under the impression that it was a huge success already. Palin supporters have assured us that The Undefeated would best Harry Potter Deathly Hallows II at the box office and The Undefeated would be more popular than Casablanca.

I seem to have picked up a freepmail stalker from this thread and man is he persistent.

I didn’t realize my simple post was so controversial, or stimulating, but I would like the freepmailing to end.
