Jay Carney: “The White House doesn’t create jobs” (Now he tells us)
Hotair ^ | 08/04/2011 | Allahpundit

Alternate headline: “Jay Carney helpfully provides GOP with new campaign slogan.”

Carney listed legislative priorities the president believes will create jobs, including an infrastructure bank, the passage of free trade agreements, and tax cuts. But he would not say what was being done to further those goals while Congress takes a month-long vacation.

“The White House doesn’t create jobs,” Carney said, adding “the government, together — White House, Congress — creates policies that allow for greater job creation.”

Asked whether the White House could do more, Carney said “there is no silver bullet” to creating jobs — but he didn’t answer the question.

I don’t remember Gibbs being quite so eager to share credit with Congress when unemployment was ticking ever so slowly downward, which the White House naturally attributed to jobs “created or saved” by the stimulus. I do remember Obama telling Matt Lauer shortly after the stimulus passed that if he hadn’t turned the economy around in three years, he’d be a one-term president. How come he didn’t tell us at the time that “the White House doesn’t create jobs”? Ah well. Now that it’s all but certain the economy won’t rebound in time to hand O an easy win next year, consider this a sneak preview of their new two-pronged campaign message. Prong one: Republicans are, if not terrorists, close enough to terrorists that they can’t be trusted to govern. And prong two: Responsibility for our ruined economy is much more complicated than you think, average voter!

Here’s Tapper grilling Carney about what Obama’s doing right now, today, to get some sort of new economic package going in Congress to address the urgent threat of a double dip. You want to know what he’s doing today, Jake? He’s having a cookout. Seriously. Click the image to watch.

In that case, it can't be Ubama's fault.

Can it?

“The White House doesn’t create jobs,” Carney said.

Indeed. This White House destroys jobs.

The White House doesn’t create jobs it destroys them with REGULATIONS.

If Obama were serious he could cancel about 50% of the regulations gone in force in the last two years and watch the growth.

So what the hell did Obama have his 'laser beam' focused on?

Can we start making up new names for liberals? I don't think there are any words strong enough in the English language that describe these scumbags.

But your boss is going on a freakin’ tax-payer funded roadtrip to talk about ‘’creating jobs’’. Sonny boy, does your mother know where you are right now?

“The White House doesn’t create jobs,” Carney said, adding “the government, together — White House, Congress — creates policies that allow for greater job creation.”

A perfectly defensible statement that is EXACTLY the opposite of what Obama has been saying. Obama and Biden (and Reid and Pelosi) have been very specific that "the government needs more money to create jobs" and by extension, the more money government has, the more jobs will be created.

The July jobs numbers come out tomorrow.

If the economy added even ONE job, Obummer will be taking credit for it.

(Analysts predict 80K jobs, but I bet the number will be negative. Companies won’t hire until this clown is voted out).

But the White House trades American factories and jobs for cheap underwear.

Clearly, the private sector has made its opinion based on its expectations of the Obama regime.
It has elected to put up the gone fishing sign and chosen to not participate in his shenanigans.

The Keystone XL Pipeline. Hillary has been sitting on it for two years!
100,000 new jobs for two years.

Stop the BS drilling ban. 300,000 existing jobs returned.

Many more...

But...but...but...I am standing here with my shovel. Obama promised us "shovel ready" jobs. We were promised we could all get to work thanks to the policies he was enacting. /sarc

About all that is shovel ready is Obama...he is just about to be buried in his own cesspool of lying rhetoric. Maybe he needs another vacation - this time, in a padded cell.
