I think the ‘social network’ aspect of these ‘flash mobs’ has been overblown. I doubt they would find a list of 50-100 folks that received a text message from an organizer. I could be wrong, but I just find it hard to believe that it is this organized. My guess would be more like a small group gathering at a traditional hang-out (park, bball courts) and then that group heading over. Maybe a couple texts out of the group to let some friends know what is going on - 1 text to a park a few blocks away that is also a hangout and you have a small mob with just a couple of text messages.
You know, I hadn't thought of it before but you must be right. This has, really, only been transpiring at this level for a few months. Someone, somewhere helped these people start organizing and using the social media outlets to do it.
Facebook had to have been utilized as well.

The Great Uniter was awfully fast to comment on a black man being arrested by a white cop - why is he silent about hundreds involved in racial violence at a public event???

It will be interesting to see whether this sort of crap happens in Virginia, where I hold a CCW permit. It’s also good in Pennsylvania, where I maintain a second home.

And someone told me today here in freerepublic nothing like this would happen when Obama was voted out of office..I think this sort of stuff is just a practice run for them..
