Actually, he isn't. His description of the A-model Chinook in Vietnam is pretty accurate.

The problem is that the Chinook that's in-service now isn't the same Chinook that was in service 40 years ago. Today's Chinook is a classic case of an old battleax where the handle's been replaced four times and the head/blade six times. Although it looks pretty similar, it's NOT the same aircraft in terms of capabilities.

This administration leaked who did in OBL. There is a REASON that some things are classified in the military. Rule number one, protect your troops identity in special ops. Instead, they plastered Team 6's name all over the front pages so that Obamalamdingdong and gang could glorify themselves. Obama's Pentagon is a joke!

Everyone serving in Special Ops has to watch their backs with these traitorous self-serving idiots in leadership. Lord, have mercy. Prayers for the family members who lost their husbands, fathers and brothers today because someone couldn't keep their mouth shut about the specifics of the OBL operation, including Joe Biden.

Leni, I linked the special ops version to you, all you have to do is read the link. Frankly, I find it amazing that the military (special ops) would put so many highly trained men on one platform....for obvious reasons. But the fact that special ops uses Chinooks is not in dispute.

I wouldn't look at it that way. Most military pilots aren't airplane junkies like some of us (myself included) are. They just serve their time flying the things and then get out.

A number of years ago I had the honor of meeting a couple Doolittle Raiders. I made the honest mistake of starting to ask them some details about their B-25s. They made it pretty clear to me ("We didn't think about much other than flying the things" I think was the comment back) that they never cared about the planes at the level of detail I did. So long as the planes worked, they were just tools to them.
