This is why I rarely respond to any articles regarding religion. Every time the nutters come out and start trashing other religions.
The reason why I would never vote for Mitt Romney have nothing to do with the fact he is (allegedly) a Mormon like Harry Reid (allegedly). I would never vote for Mitt because he is a progressive, beltway insider, mainstream republican, big government, big spending, fiscal liberal.
If Mitt were a small government, constitutionalist, fiscal conservative, his religion wouldn’t mean squat to me. Same goes for the big spending, bleeding heart, social justice, “Republican” Mike Huckabee.
Just because you go to church every week, doesn’t make you a constitutionalist. I wan’t a seriously restricted fedgov and I want it yesterday.
I don’t have a single problem with a Mormon President. I have a MAJOR problem with Mitt Romney because he’s a RINO.
What America needs is someone with spine enough to eliminate the atheistic socialist policies enacted by this and the previous two administrations, not someone who will simply let them ride and potentially assist them in success of the destruction of America's principles and high standing in the world.
Pray that we do not nominate Romney or any other big government socialist. We have the golden opportunity for conservatism now. If we elect a socialist under the GOP title right now, no conservative and many of the moderates will ever trust the GOP again. This election cycle is the make or break, for the GOP...either they put up a conservative, or they are branded with the platform attribute and signature of atheistic secular socialist. The result, for the GOP, will be that conservatives and moderates alike will hold little, if any, affinity for the GOP in the future. The result for the nation and much of the world, will be devastating and irreversible economic, social and moral decadence. It is clear where the recent trend, by the last three administrations is taking us. We won't be replacing Marxism with Mormonism, if we elected Romney. We would be replacing nothing, only moderately slowing it down.
They also "selected" Bob Dole in 1995/6 (remember Dole's "gravitas"? -- what a joke!), and they tried to "select" George H.W. Bush in 1980, but Ronnie beat them, and then in the general, he crushed them.
But, owning up to my own, I have to admit in all humility that the MSM megaliars had me going in 1980 and I thought Reagan would probably lose the election -- no, really -- even on election eve. They flimflammed me, lied to me. And I've been frosted with those lying sob's ever since. They are shameless, valueless, worthless.
I live to see them ground into slime under Sarah's high heels. How 'bout that?! </confessional mode>
Ah,... but then again, aren't you a Mormon?
“They need to give it a rest. I dont care! A gay buddhist vegetarian with a crooked smile and a bad haircut(*) would get my vote over Obama, so long as hes not a marxist big spender.”
“Ah,... but then again, aren’t you a Mormon?”
No I’m not. Not even close. I guess any non-bigot confuses you.
When will you give up your anti-Mormon paranoia?
“Every time the nutters come out and start trashing other religions.”
Yup. IMHO, it’s the ugliest part of FR.
It’s sad when Christians act more like Pharisees than like Christ.
“Just because you go to church every week, doesnt make you a constitutionalist.”
Yup. It’s sad to see Obama bumper stickers in our Church parking lot. But they are there. Ugg.
When I see one at mine, I will find a another church.
“Yup. Its sad to see Obama bumper stickers in our Church parking lot. But they are there. Ugg.”
To tell you the truth, if your church was teaching Biblical truths, Obama voters wouldn’t want to come anywhere near there.
Sorry. I get my Romney schills and my Mormons mixed up. They are both so deluded.
You continue to be very deluded. I do not support Romney(*); you continue to confuse opposing anti-Mormon bigotry with being a ‘shill’ for Romney or Mormonism. your close-minded anti-mormon paranioa is leading you astray.
(*)(My guy until Perry jumped in was Herman Cain; also impressed with Bachmann, but I likely will end up supporting Perry as the best combo of conservative values and executive experience in the field.)
Looks like redstate.com is one of your favorite schilling grounds - but there is evidence of your Romney adulation even here on FR. Better watch out! Jim Robison doesn't like schilling for Romney on his site.
