MoveOn.org drives new liberal catch phrase: ‘Tea party downgrade’ Matthew Boyle - The Daily Caller 43 mins ago

The left-wing activist group MoveOn.org picked up the new liberal slogan bashing conservatives for Standard & Poor’s U.S. credit rating downgrade: “Tea Party downgrade.” President Obama’s chief campaign strategist David Axelrod and Massachusetts Democratic Sen. John Kerry both used the phrase on Sunday talk shows.

In a Sunday afternoon email to supporters, MoveOn.org accused tea partiers of being responsible for the first-ever credit downgrade in U.S. history. “This ‘tea party downgrade’ is a shameful blow to our nation’s honor and risks throwing us right back into recession,” Moveon.org wrote. “Worst of all? It was completely avoidable. But when given the choice between extremist posturing and responsible leadership, tea party Republicans chose wrong.” (RELATED: Axelrod: ‘This is essentially a tea party downgrade’)

MoveOn.org added that “now, amazingly, they’re trying to pin the blame on Democrats.”

They are trying to smear Tea Party for generations to come. Just like Joe McCarthy is remembered as a false commie accuser, but Venona papers prove he was right!

Who issued the talking points memo on “the Tea Party downgrade” — the White House? It would seem so.

It’s positively, utterly stupid beyond belief. It shows UTTER DESPERATION. Indeed, it reinforces to everyone that this is the OBAMA DOWNGRADE.

The SorryAss/Obama/DU/Media Matters Moonbattery is in complete meltdown today. They know they have completely forfeited the 2012 and 2014 and 2016 and 2020 elections — losing in landslide elections as far as the eye can see.

If that were actually true we would not have ousted 80 democrats last november plus all the local conservative advances. The November election showed that the Tea Party is not only popular it is VERY popular, maybe not in name but certainly in ideas. The media meme is not going to change that. They tried last year and failed miserably.

Referring to the Obama Downgrade as the “Tea Party Downgrade” shows just how ignorant the MorOn.org crowd really is. Sorry Skippy! It’s YOUR economy. Don’t try to blame your Keynesian failings on us!!!

this talking point will last just about as long as the others, a week or so.. Just long enough for Obama to use it a few times in another “major speech” early next week, after he gets in another round of golf and before his vacation to the vineyard.

Meanwhile, MoveOn continues to mouth the P.T.Barnum slogan - as in “No one ever went broke UNDERestimating the intelligence of the American people.”

Are there REALLY people in the United States stupid enough to buy into the fantasy that the tea Party is responsible for Obama’s enormous debt?

Unfortunately, the answer is, “Yes.” Quite a number os them, in fact. Astounding, but there it is.

Thus, the Tea Party slogan.

“Yep, nobody is going to buy it, not even moveon actually believes it.”

WRONG...
This is targeted at the very same electorate, by the very same media that elected an Affrimative Action, ex-Drug Dealer that had no executive experience of any kind, with a questionable, un-vetted background as President of the United States.

Never underestimate the POWER OF PROPAGANDA...

We have to accept reality. We cannot ‘coexist’ under the American Constitution with Communists. They will eventually do what all Communists do and take it to the violent level...more-so than they do now. I mean full blown Civil War violence.

We cannot wish it away. It WILL happen, they WILL start it and if we love our country enough, WE will emerge victorious.

Sad, yes. True? Yes.

Axelrod used it, Kerry used it, MoveOn.org used it… no doubt "TeaParty downgrade" is the poll-tested talking-point on this bit of bad news.

"Cut, Cap & Balance" offered $4T in cuts which is what the ratings agencies asked for. It passed the House under Boehner with a bipartisan vote. CCB was the "Tea Party" plan.

The White House mocked it as "duck, dodge and dismantle" and Reid, Mr. Dead-on-Arrival, wouldn't even allow a debate in the Senate.

Once again the Democrats refuse to accept responsibility for anything. Bad economy? Bush's fault. Failed stimulus? Earthquakes & oil prices. Downgrade? Tea Party's fault.

We should be screaming at the top of our lungs because Obama wanted a CLEAN debt ceiling increase with no offsets period. He was not concerned for a nanosecond about the credit rating. Neither was Geithner. Members of their party were even suggesting it was racist to oppose a clean increase!

Todays Dems are among the most vile and despicable people to ever grace the national state.

We all know it is a lie, however... 1. If Boehner doesn’t combat it... 2. If our side on interviews with cameras in their faces don’t educate the masses at the 6th grade level with charts and so forth... 3. If our side has no outlet other than Rush, Freep, Levin, etc., then what they say becomes true That’s the truth and our Tea Party lobbyists and so forth better be in contact with our side (House, Senate, etc.)...

I hear this meme alot from armchair political experts. Ok so what news organization is going to give a forum like you want to go over things with charts and graphs? Someone to allow you present your Conservative case unfettered, unfiltered and uninterrupted with spin. Guys like Paul Ryan have been showing charts and graphs for months now, have you seen them? I have but it's been rare. The problems is not with politicians per se it's your idiot neighbor that votes these guys in. Take your frustration out on them. Newsflash, you never get your fairness nirvana where you can have your Perry Mason moment with guys like Obama. If people want to learn what is going on they will, the dolts and drones no amount of screaming facts and statistics by you or Ronald Reagan can change their mind. About 50% of the population is corrupt, covetous, lying scumbags, it's that simple. I am done looking for messiahs or magic bullets to convince them. They need to be defeated, made to starve and learn by experience that your love of your neighbors treasure will only bring more misery on yourself. Some of you are waiting for the perfect messenger and the perfect message which will resonate with the drones, it will never come. People believe what they want to believe.

“Unfortunately, the answer is, “Yes.” Quite a number os them, in fact. Astounding, but there it is.”

The REAL danger to America has never been the Barack Obama’s, and his ilk.

It’s an electorate so dumbed-down, so susceptible to simplistic media propaganda, without ever questioning it, that they could elect someone like Obama to the Presidency.

Of course it is. They have their minions positioned and ready to answer the call from Obama. However, I think we still *need* to counter each of these crazy mind twisters when they appear, but then continue on. Obliterate them with the first hint that something’s incoming - then press on.

Funny, but anyone else affiliated with a local tea party noticing a huge membership boost this week? We definitely have.
