A member of The Greater Phoenix Tea Party politely Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) to apologize for calling Tea Party members in the House and Senate "hobbits." McCain, who was quoting the Wall Street Journal, made his comments on the Senate floor.
"I am sorry if it was misunderstood. I am not sorry for what I said," McCain said to a heated audience.
"I mean, why should I when it’s the facts," Senator McCain added.

For all the BS and phoney baloney antics that John McCain has heaped on us conservatives throughout his career, I condemn him totally.
However, when it comes to Sarah Palin and John McCain vis-a-vis each other, as far as I'm concerned, he/she get a 'lifetime' pass on each other. For without John McCain's selection of Sarah Palin in 2008, we would not have a Sarah Palin and her 'Hobbits' ready to save this country in 2012.
Palin said nothing about it the first time, when McLame actually said it, and he even specifically mocked Sharon Angle and Kristine O’Donnell from the floor of the Senate.
Palin is just another cog in the machine of big politics; if she won’t distance herself from McLame, she probably shouldn’t run for President. Being loyal to a like-minded conservative is one thing, but being loyal to a RINO trashing your base in his official role as a senator is foolish and un-Presidential.
He is definitely one taco short of a combination plate.

Mc Cain ought to consider the impact of his accusations. It was Hobbits that destroyed the Ring of Power and it may be Tea party “Hobbits” that destroy the Ring of “taxation and spending” power that progressives in both parties have used to control us since 1913!
