Terrified diners in London told Tuesday how rioters brandishing baseball bats smashed their way into a top restaurant and forced them to hand over wedding rings, cell phones and wallets.
Staff at two-Michelin-starred The Ledbury, in the affluent west London suburb of Notting Hill, were forced to confront the gang of intruders with rolling pins and kitchen utensils Monday evening in a desperate bid to protect customers.

I’m sure the constables will be arresting the kitchen staff in short order.
Whereas, if they would have had a gun there wouldn't have been much of a fight.

Perhaps Prince Charles can spearhead an effort to register all knives in Britain.

If the Bobbies had guns, this wouldn't have lasted but a couple hours and been done by now. Shoot the first few who didn't stand down days ago and the rest would have turned tail and gone home.
