Six Republican state senators face a recall vote today in Wisconsin. Two senate Fleebaggers face recall elections next week. Democrats need to pick up three seats to gain control of the Wisconsin senate.

By the way, a liberal Chicago donor sent $200,000 to fund the far left recall candidates.

The turnout was heavy today.

JS Online has election results.

The AP also has election results

UPDATE: It’s unlikely that democrats will win District 2 or District 10. The Republicans are too far ahead with nearly half the precincts reporting.

State Senate – District 2 – General August 09, 2011 – 08:47PM CT Wisconsin – 44 of 90 Precincts Reporting – 49% Name Party Votes Vote % Cowles , Robert (i) GOP 10,777 57% Nusbaum , Nancy Dem 8,029 43%

State Senate - District 10 – General August 09, 2011 – 08:47PM CT Wisconsin – 50 of 114 Precincts Reporting – 44% Name Party Votes Vote % Harsdorf , Sheila (i) GOP 14,134 59% Moore , Shelly Dem 9,664 41%

UPDATE: It looks like the GOP will take District 14 too.

State Senate – District 14 – General August 09, 2011 – 09:03PM CT Wisconsin – 59 of 126 Precincts Reporting – 47% Name Party Votes Vote % Olsen , Luther (i) GOP 10,462 55% Clark , Fred Dem 8,562 45%

Also, adding the total votes of ALL races, I came up with
R ==> 57% D ==> 43%

Just think what the unions could have done with all the money they spent in Wisconsin... they could have done things like spring for some union-paid training courses so their members could better themselves... think of the possibilities... but nooooo - they had to take union money and play politics with it...

And the Republicans need to remind WI voters of that every chance they get!!

I am having trouble following the thinking of the thread. Is this a solid hold on the Senate for the GOP or are there recounts and lawsuits in the near future?

A little bit of both, I think.

And the Left now has $30 mil less than they did.

Pity.

And another election coming next week.

oh, I think a lot of folks are down and out tonight, MSNBC, the dude who put up $200K, the unions that put up $30M, and the Boy President.

I do feel badly for the one R who we know for sure lost. Seems there’s a second that gets an auto recount, and most local media are calling for Darling in the 8th, so a bad night for Ds all around.

Tonight/tomorrow we should all send checks to the R’s who are running in the Dem recall election next week.

AP just called the race for Darling. Looks like GOP 4, dems 1, with one to close to call. :)

Love it, just love it. Heard there was a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth at MSNBC tonight. That just always makes my day.

Now for a twofer next week (I can hope). I read that one of next week’s is favorable, the other not so much, but maybe after today the D’s won’t have the energy and spirit to put up that much of a fight.

Oh, I had to reply again.

This is SUCH a big win for us. It is freaking hugh and series, we have stuned their beebers.

It’s all been doomy and gloomy in the vast right wing blogosphere about this election.

Now I am wondering, was that just scare tactics?

Or do we still continue to believe the MSM and let them scare us?

The left thought they would score a big refudiation here, but they got, basically, bupkis.

Can I borrow a phrase?

ROLL TIDE!

Who is the Koch mentioned in the headline? None of the senators were named Koch. Perhaps they are referring to the evil wealthy villains the Koch brothers who really are running America and trying to destroy poor people and unions? LOL.

I am very glad the Dems did not pull this off. Would have been spun into a huge defeat. Losing 2 seats was not good but it was hardly a mandate for the left.

Yes, it was a great night. I’m proud of the GOP in WI, they didn’t have the emotion of the goons, but they still showed up to vote.

Poor Mr. Ed was beside himself. He was there live most of the night, or at least till he figured out the unions lost. I never get enough of him talkin about “the working man” and how much the dems care about him.

I think the only thing that surprised me was the lack of coverage by Fox. :-/

Like Ann Barnhardt says, when the bullet enters their cranium, then they'll know just how much the Marxists "care" about the working man.
