Judge fines ACORN but wanted prison

A judge on Wednesday fined the defunct grass-roots community organizing group ACORN $5,000 for its illegal voter-registration program in Nevada — but said he wishes he could have put someone in prison, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

At the sentencing, Clark County District Judge Donald Mosley said if a person had been before him instead of a corporation, he would have slapped the individual with a 10-year prison term. “And I wouldn’t have thought twice about it,” Mosley said.

Some of the “Commie” blogs S&P (and the Tea Party) for the downgrade. The blogs also contend S&P failed to tow the line in April and over graded the Home Loans of Frank and Dodd... which would have resulted in a visit from ACORN (From little ACORNS mighty Marxists grow!)

Omitted is that S&P stated in JANUARY they would downgrade the ratings if the US did not trim 4T off the deficit. Well the GOP offered a 4T reduction, Reid refused to bring it to the floor and sic the downgrade. Yet the Marxists blame it on the GOP, S&P Tea Party, but not the OBOTS.

There's one upside to this. It's a conviction. Next time -- the very next time -- the ACORNholers get convicted of a similar crime (and I'm sure you've no doubt that they will be convicted of something similar in the near future), RICO comes into play. By existing law, two convictions on **similar** offenses constitutes the "pattern of behavior" required to invoke the RICO statutes.

Once the uber-corrupt Holder is gone, the new AG should have an absolute field day with this: triple civil damages, aggravating factors in criminal cases, and the list goes on and on.
