There’s only one complication: unlike the flash-mobs, most of us have jobs.

That’s a great idea. Time to get some “community organizers” in gear and start organizing.

I’ve always wondered why more conservatives aren’t learning from and copying the libs on that. Look what it’s gotten them?

Good idea!

My Tea Party Governor LePage said if Obama comes to Maine he's going to tell him to "get out of my state".

But we need "Instant Tea" here too.

Most Tea Partiers have, like man, jobs and family. It’s not as easy to muster them like the minutemen of old. Nor do they often go walking the streets all together. With a little advance notice and a politician due to appear in the evening or on a weekend, something more might be possible.

True, but we don't all work 9-5 M-F, and there are stay-at-home moms and retirees and college kids who have some flexibility on time. I myself work 7am to 3pm, so I'd be available after that, and on the weekends...I'm thinking I could make up some signs, keep them in my car, and distribute them to signless Tea Partiers when we arrive.

Fatal flaw in your reasoning: Tea Partiers usually have jobs, so they can’t drop everything to show up at a rally on a moment’s notice, unlike union members and the British dole-recipients.

I understand the jobs issue, but not everyone works nights and weekends. It doesn’t even have to be a mob/crowd...just some people that happen to be in the same area as one of our esteemed politicians...mall, store, etc.

What I am really getting at, is that the TEA PARTY really needs to innovate and adapt. I have been to almost EVERY Tea Party in St. Louis and “friended” them on FB, yet NEVER receive updates or scheduling of events. Whether it be local or national, the TEA PARTY needs to take advantage of social media like the left does. AND, I like the term “Instant Tea Party”.

What is a flash mob? Is that a bunch of old guys wearing raincoats over their naked bodies, ready to show their stuff on a prearranged signal?
Doesn’t sound very conservative.

I agree. The STL T.P. has been in hibernation since the election but it may be waking up now. See Are You Ready For The Next Wave? and on Facebook The After Party--Episode 1.

However, the OTHER St. Louis Tea Party group, K & N Patriots is VERY active. Come and join us this Saturday!

I don’t wish to adopt the left Alinsky-ite tactics of forming mobs to intimidate people. Plus, as has been pointed out, most TPers have jobs, families, etc.

I think a better idea is to have anti-flash-mob flash-mobs.

Agreed! Another concept that seems to fly right over the heads of our to-be-elected leaders is the necessity to respond to ANYTHING the left says right away - or at least within a day.

Tell me a teapartier politician calls a press conference to respond to something debbie schultz or harpy reid said - the networks will cover it because it will mean some good soundbites for the evening news that dont involve our beloved leader. Our guys/gals have got to get the message OUT!

Haven’t they been watching Sarah??????

My stepson has had considerable success in organizing flash mobs of high school students to picket Planned Parenthood events. A Bing search on chad mccoy flash mob will bring up several references and YouTube videos.

He can be contacted at BrChadSSJC@aol.com for information on how to do it.
