Newt has to pull out all the conservative notions he can muster...his talk is cheap. His actions during the last few years make’s him undesirable...He let his true self come out during those years...finger in the wind, then state his policy’s...

I totally agreed with Newt: Wallace played one against the other (Pawlenty vs Bachmann) as "entertainment" for the MSM, "talking points for 'snooz' programs and lib cocktail programs" who will be patting Chrissy, Wallace that is, from his liberal friends!

This should have been about trashing Obama, libs in Congress and socialist government - not one another, that has nothing at all to do with what kind of president that candidate would make - NOT about red meat gotcha points for libs to laugh their a@@ off at "conservatives."

That spat was the real deal. When they cut to commercials there was no nicey-nice between the two. Bachmann was p.o’d and you could see it. Definitely bad blood there.

It looked like Paw was wreaking of desperation tonight. I have a feeling that he is short on cash and supporters. He may think that this is the way to boost his profile.

There are times I suspect we don't agree on much but on Pawlenty there is no daylight. 100% with you.

We have to agree on probably 60% of things by default. We are both on Free Republic. That is more agreement than I have with some members of my own family.

The Bachmann/Pawlenty food fight was distracting and irritating. Silly, over the top. Unfortunately, any good that came from their answers was lost amidst the bickering.

I though Wallace picked the MN fight for them with his question, and it was right after that Mr Newt chided him.

You pretty well nailed it. I saw the same lineup as you.

The first 3 were the only ones who actually impressed me. Old Gingrich really put on a show! Michelle actually stuck to her guns and did not relent and Herman Cain told it the way it actually is.

All of the others were nothing more than retreaded politicians trying to “repackage” themselves.

I agree with your post#4. I didn’t see the debate but just watched the video of that segment and it’s clear that Bachmann answered forthrightly while Pawlenty obfuscated.

In regards to that segment of the debate, Bachmann was the clear winner over Pawlenty.

As usual, FOX does a lousy job with a debate. The questions were awful and designed to be combative rather than useful.

I would suggest a Conservative Talk Radio Show debate where people like Rush, Ingraham, Beck, Levin ask questions that would be helpful and get to the important issues.

FOX fails every time in election and debate coverage. I had to laugh how they blamed the candidates. I didn’t, Fox moderators made foolish asses out of themselves.
