FBI adds ‘preppers’ to potential terrorists list
Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 11 August, 2011 | David Codrea

“An FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force handout being distributed to Colorado military surplus store owners lists the purchase of popular preparedness items and firearms accessories as ‘suspicious’ and ‘potential indicators of terrorist activities,’” an exclusive report by Oath Keepers reveals.

Essentially, the government is conflating Americans who believe in being prepared for disruptions in normal circumstances with potential domestic enemies who bear scrutiny, and are recruiting those they patronize to spy and snitch on their customers. As potential terrorists. For such suspicious activities as buying storable food. And paying in legal tender.

This is not a new tactic. Oath Keepers themselves have been targets of a campaign to portray their organization and membership as “militia extremists” and haters, due in large part to the smear efforts by the Southern Poverty Law Center. It has been used against people who champion the Constitution and warn against the United Nations. And it’s not confined to the FBI, but is also used by the Department of Homeland Security and so-called “Fusion Centers” and…

The Soviet communists had to destroy anyone who had any independence from them whatsoever.

So, the killed the Kulaks, or small farmers.

I am speechless.

Basically anyone with any sense, who tries to take care of their family, and who is not an 0h0m0 supporter with gov job or on welfare, is a terrorist.

12+MB is awful large for a 1 page file, there. I printed it to Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 and it only took up 185K. I wonder what’s up with that?

The original image before creation of the .pdf must have been a very large file.

The .pdf quality must have been set very high.

When you sent it to the printer the resolution must have been set for something more reasonable.

High rez color print shop when sent to a printer is often set with no concern for file size.

DPI issue.

“The left attempts to define anyone who is against them as a terrorist.”

Sure, and back in the day it was “bigot.” A bigot is anyone who’s winning an argument with a leftist, the saying used to go.

I really wish more people were aware that all leftist thought, from the limousine liberalism of a George Clooney to the mass murders of Mao, Stalin, or Pol Pot, is of and from Satan.

As Satan is the father of lies, it follows that those under his sway are liars.

Bipartisanship is when the Stupid Party and the Evil Party get together and do something that is both stupid and evil. It is not a good thing, and no Republican who indicates his willingness to engage in it deserves your vote.

Leftists must be excluded entirely from all positions of responsibility and influence, including not only the three branches of government and the bureaucracies, but the news and entertainment media, education, and the Clergy—right down to the Oregon Catholic Press.

I printed it to Acrobat 8, in short, made a .pdf of the .pdf file. I use Acrobat a lot, making reports and multipage graphics files, but never get anywhere near that big on only 1 page, so that seemed pretty unusual to me.

There was a time when I would roll my eyes at at the suggestion that much of what has transpired might some day occur.

I am not so hasty to summarily dismiss much nowadays.

It seems the more outrageous the idea, the more crackpot sounding the plan, the more likely it is, simply because it has become vogue to summarily dismiss such things as 'conspiracy theories'. What better cover for larcenous and anti-American activity?

Smokin’ Joe and Karographer - have you read Travis McGee/Matthew Bracken’s trilogy - “Enemies Foreign and Domestic”?

I cannot say how highly I recommend them. Anyone who reads them will have an education into what is happening now, what could very well happen, most like will - and WHY we all need to prepare for it.

Reprinting a .pdf

Because of the compression used in making the .pdf each time you “save as” or “print to” .pdf the image resolution is reduced.

I think it also depends on the image format actually used in the image that is embedded in the .pdf

.tiff does not loose quality as saved, .png is a lot less lossy than .jpg formats.

There are other ways to create a .pdf than an adobe app. I have noticed some of the Linux .pdf creators are much slower to feed to a printer. Not sure if that is due to a driver issue or if the file size is larger.
