Chicago, August 11, 2011 – This week U.S. Senator Dick Durbin held a press conference with members of the mainstream media to talk about the downgrade crisis. But the Senator’s scripted storyline veered off-course when a conservative reporter – me – showed up to ask an embarrassing question. Namely, “Senator, you’ve blamed the tea party…but do you bear any responsibility for this downgrade crisis?” What, you didn’t hear about this incident in the media? If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an US Senator confronting a reporter, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime—Pol Pot or others—that had no concern for human beings.
I really loved the line where the “white hair” dude stated:
“You can’t ask questions in a press conference”

Good one! Durbin’s disgraceful and outrageous statements about our military should be permanently attached to him the way the innocuous potatoe has been permanently attached to Dan Quayle.
