LA Times: With approval rating at new low, Obama launches three-day bus blitz

Minneapolis Burdened by sagging poll numbers, hamstrung by poor economic news, and trapped in Washington for much of the summer because of the debt ceiling fight, President Obama will seek to reverse his recent fortunes by hitting the open road.
Obama Monday will embark on a three-state, five-town bus tour deep in the heart of the American Midwest. The campaign-style swing comes at a time when a new Gallup Poll shows the president sliding below a 40 % approval rating for the first time.
The White House maintains the president will confine his remarks to the economy and will not go after his potential GOP presidential opponents. But at the very least, however, the trip should afford him a chance to renew his connection with a public that has been showing signs of increasing discontent with his administration.
Paul Begala, a former campaign aide to Bill Clinton who now advises a political action committee, Priorities USA Action, started by two ex-Obama aides, called for bold action.
The whole focus of the country for the last month has been on these terrible negotiations over the debt ceiling. That hurt everybody. Hes got to turn the page, Begala said. The president cant wave a magic wand, but he has the power to set the agenda. Nows the time.

39% of America is still totally out of touch.
We need to send this piece of scum back to his homeland where he can take up a Jihad against us and we send in a drone.

His political strategy is clear enough.
He proposes “bold action” like spending a gazillion more dollars on “infrastructure” knowing the House will never approve it, and rely on the MSM to spin it so that the Republicans in the House are blocking the “bold action” that would save the economy.

Everything this Jackwagon President does just grows the Tea Party more! Barack 'Jackwagon' Obama's Misery Bus Tour
The winning rule in 2012: a direct and non-stop political attack on Obama's record. In other words, a systematic attack on his anti-American socialism and his endless lying. Continually putting forward the facts about the man's failed policies and the thin veil of a presidential image, being held in place by a teleprompter and the piss-stream media. That was a 'gutsy call,' you sad jackwagon of a man. There's so much to hammer on here with this extremely damaging, leftist and lying administration. How many instances of Obama lying could we produce? Lets start with the so-called recovery or our crushing debt or the 8 percent yearly growth of this 800-pound gorilla known as the US government, and don't forget our wide-open borders. Explain that it's this president's policies that have Americans depressed and gloomy about their futures and those of their children. Obama, Reid, and Pelosi have done everything they can to discourage and punish success, hard work and private business since 2007. They should be held up to ridicule and shame daily. This is all is very clear to the majority of working Americans. I hope our GOP Presidential contenders have the courage to fight. |
