Burying Obama
American Thinker ^ | August 15, 2011 | J.R. Dunn

Let me hasten to make it clear before the Secret Service kicks the door in: we're not speaking of the three-dimensional, physical Obama, but the image of Obama created by the DNC, the media, and assorted political mercenaries to sell him and his agenda to an unsuspecting nation. We need to rid ourselves of Obama as an influence, as an example, as a lens through which to view the world, as a figure to look up to, admire, or emulate in any sense.

Simply put, there must be no "Obama legacy." Obama the man is avidly digging himself deeper into his own personal hole and will soon vanish into the depths of the earth. It is Obama the legend that must be buried.

Every liberal president fails. The more "successful" he is, in the sense of actually putting his policies in place, the more clearly he reveals the emptiness of that bastard combination of socialism, Marxism, fascism, and Progressivism that goes under the name "liberalism." Franklin Roosevelt triggered a second dip in the Great Depression in 1937, delivering America to the same wretchedness in which he found it upon...

--snip--

Of course, a little reworking is required in order to make the narrative fit the circumstances. FDR was lucky enough to have WWII, which made it appear that his policies had in fact worked. For a half century and more the myth that Roosevelt's policies ended the Depression and saved the country were taken as a given on all levels, and still prevails among the offhandedly educated. Only in recent years has the story of the false recovery generated by deficit spending followed by the collapse of 1937 and the ensuing double-dip been excavated. (Does this sound familiar?) The war saved FDR, and also saved the myth of American liberalism...

Great article. Good to see people starting to demolist the 0 myth. 0 is the penultimate PR creation. The way to beat him is to destroy the media manufactured mythology about him.

Let me hasten to make it clear before the Secret Service kicks the door in:

LOL
..........
Seriously, Hoovers policies were bringing the Country out of the Depression.. People bought the welfare mentality FDR was selling. He KNEW full well his policies would exacerbate the Depression and send everyone back to the bread lines. The War created a perfect oportunity to get the roots of the welfare state growing.
The biggest danger to the freedomsd of America is the Obamacare nightmare. If that is not repealed, Americans can kiss their freedoms goodby.

World War II, now that's demand!

Also you kill off 418,000 people and your unemployment goes way down. And don't forget when you bomb the cities of all your major competitors into smoldering rubble your exports are going to go gangbusters.

BURYING OBAMA IN 2012

FDR was almost as avid a socialist/marxist as Obama. Our victory in World War II overshadowed that...but did not, and does not change the fact of the matter.

But Obama is truly :

THE MAN WHO DESPISES AMERICA

...and is, tragically, also President.

But 2012 will change that.

"Politics isn't just a game of clashing parties and competing interests. The right reason is to challenge the status quo, to serve the common good, and to leave this nation better than we found it. People know something has gone terribly wrong with our government and it has gotten so far off track. But people also know that there is nothing wrong in America that a good old-fashioned election can't fix. We don't need to fundamentally transform America. We need to restore America." Sarah Palin

"It is Obama the legend that must be buried"

And, America must NEVER forget that it was/is the liberals/democrats that knowingly foisted this phony POS SOB on us.

The democrat party knew what 0 was/is (including the constitutionally ineligible part) and allowed him to achieve his current office anyway.

The democrat party ought to be outlawed in the U.S.

...LOL...

...Funny, but true. The Republic has become a dangerous police state, anythink you say can and will be used against you. And unfortunatly the defense is now given the burden of truth to prove innocence, instead of vise-versa...

...Oh, yea. Good post...

Also you kill off 418,000 people and your unemployment goes way down.

Well, 12 million returning servicemen certainly solved that. 1948 was about as happy a year as 2010 for most Americans.

And don't forget when you bomb the cities of all your major competitors into smoldering rubble your exports are going to go gangbusters.

Until you realize that there's big money to be made by reconstructing what you destroyed.

Why give obama an exclusive on this. Let’s bury the rest of the anti american socialist frauds that have infested the democrat party, MSM and academia and turn this country around before it’s to late. Screw the politically correct phoney’s. AGW is out of here, no more funding period. Prosecute those involved in the $70,000,000,000 taxpayer rip-off. OB Birth certificate fraud. Prosecute all top dems that were involved in the cover up. Clean house of all obama’s commie appointees. He’s hired every one he could find. Unleash our oil and gas producers with domestic drilling. Increase our output and reduce buying any foreign oil from our enemies.

Don't assume it's over until it's over.

Voters vote based on:

1. name recognition
2. appearance
3. a gut feeling

The candidates character, their education, experience, positions on issues don't play a very significant role in how people vote.

Obama has the support of Hollywood and other arts; the majority of the news media ~85%; he is backed financially and will bring in unprecedented amounts of money for his campaign; he's unscrupulous; will get the vote by many non racist open minded voters that will support him no matter what because of his race; he knows the fine art of pandering and is a good political tactician, maneuvering well; his skills at oration and demeanor in public forum is outstanding; his physical appearance is youthful, energetic and he meets the GQ standard (thin, big white teeth, nice suits, clean shaven, neat hair etc); his wife is an asset; he has the incumbent advantage.

I'm not saying it's right, but form wins over function in elections. He can still do well in the "perceptive battle" that will really drive voters behaviors. Results/outcomes like experience, education, character or positions on issues is of lesser importance.

In the end, he'll win, because he's the "Devil You Know."

And before the Palin people chime in....do they really think today's electorate will vote for her? This isn't the same country that elected Reagan twice, demographically and morally. People may not like Obama, but still I don't see any Republican who is capable of overcoming him, at this juncture. Perry's record is going to come back to bite him, big time.

Before we can work on Obama we first have to destroy the manufactured mythology about the media.

that is my fear, of course. But i have to stop and think that the devil we know may potentially be EVIL enough that in a close election, his base isn't going to come out, and our side [except for the unappeasables] will come out in droves, even if it's for a flawed but inspirational candidate.

Thomas Jefferson would be a radical by today's standards, literally!

As you state, the US has decayed morally and changed demographically. While we consider ourselves smarter than ever before because we know how to turn on an X-box and surf the web for adult material, IMHO common sense and the level of education in the US has been declining ever since the late 60s. America today is very similar to Europe and much of the so-called differences are more semantics than anything tangible in real life. The difference between the US with her 41% government share of the economy vs Germany with her 48% government share is what the argument has become. America today is a light version of some Euro style semi-free economy.

Seriously, take the statements of our founding fathers on religion, guns and property ownership and tell that to most people today without telling them “who” said that and they will call the cops on you because you're a radical, possibly a racist, definitely an evil close minded person in their eye's.

Even if you told them who said it, they would just dismiss them as a bunch of "dead, white guys."
