It should be noted that nowhere in the video did they state that the police “waited” until the flash mob was gone, only that they arrived after they left.
When I watch what is going on in London I wonder how long will it take for this to happen here.

If this mob shot and killed a couple of police officers on their way out of the store, I’d bet these images would be enough for a conviction.
It’s interesting that they mainly took candy, soda and chips. They by-passed the fruit and the yogurt.

Lots of racist comments on that site, mostly by one single poster.
However, one poster had a great idea. The store owner should simply step outside the store, lock the kids inside and call the cops.
These cases are almost impossible to prosecute. First, how do you identify who they all are? Snitches are not coming in for a misdemeanor shoplifting. Maybe you catch a couple on the way out, but they are NOT going to give up anyone unless they are looking at a long time in the joint and folks, these are ticketable offenses and these thugbabies know it.
If they are juveniles, the juvenile holding facility is not going to house them unless they committed a violent felony. The parents don’t give a rip and probably sent them to the store anyway. No way they are going to jail for their kids, the alphabet social agencies will make sure of that.
How do you even tell what was taken? Any defense attorney can rip that case up unless you can specifically say “this item at this cost was taken by this suspect specifically.” Also the evidence is long gone and no police administrator is going to spend the manpower and time to chase thirty shoplifters when there are real armed robberies going on in the same area.
These kids also know from their big bros to get in an out in under a minute to beat the silent hold up alarm response which will bring a host of cops. These thugs were GOA (Gone On Arrival) and an area canvass is going to be worthless. Unless you have worked urban law enforcement, you would not believe how networked these thugs are. They can hide in ANYONE’S house in the ‘hood and it really is EVERYONE against the “man”. It’s incredibly pervasive and it starts at a very young age.
I have been in more than one innercity store where ALL the product is behind the counter and you tell them what you want and the clerk gets it for you. That keeps the shoplifting down. Robberies too, since they hand everything through a little window.
Locking these thugbabies in would be a good method but they will destroy the interior and any bystanders in the attempt to escape. Remember, these kids will smash a stolen car against a tree and make you believe there are no survivors and then come squeezing out and off like gazelles. Imagine what they are capable of when trapped and knowing the popo is coming.
These folks are why no stores thrive in the inner city. You can’t legally do what needs to be done either....
This all started under Obama’s Presidency and he has yet to address it.
Sometimes I think we need a Charles Bronson, Clint Eaqstwood or The Punisher.
