The three, who have been criticized for pushing on with the border weapons sting even as it came apart, receive new management jobs in Washington.

Reporting from Washington The ATF has promoted three key supervisors of a controversial sting operation that allowed firearms to be illegally trafficked across the U.S. border into Mexico.
All three have been heavily criticized for pushing the program forward even as it became apparent that it was out of control. At least 2,000 guns were lost and many turned up at crime scenes in Mexico and two at the killing of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Arizona.
The three supervisors have been given new management positions at the agency's headquarters in Washington. They are William G. McMahon, who was the ATF's deputy director of operations in the West, where the illegal trafficking program was focused, and William D. Newell and David Voth, both field supervisors who oversaw the program out of the agency's Phoenix office.
McMahon and Newell have acknowledged making serious mistakes in the program, which was dubbed Operation Fast and Furious.

Thank you.
Seriously...
Here they are. Doing this. Killing people. Gaining power daily.
Go. Do it. Let's see this "response".
Are you willing to be painted as the next Drega? The next Heemeyer? The next Kaczynski? The next Breivik?
ATF needs to be abolished and loads of its management should be in prison.
Did we expect anything less?
In the posiiton of the commies now running th egovernment, it depends if they wanted to play ball or not. If they didn't want to play ball then they would be "liquidated" with the utmost haste. Since these ATF yahoos are obviously team players, they are rewarded for keeping their yaps shut and playing ball.
Unfortunately they're not playing for the American team.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
So...WHO made this decision?
They acknowledged committing serious mistakes (crimes) and got promoted. This is the perfect argument for shuttering about half of the US governmental agencies.
That might lead to othersif you know what I mean.
...But, I best not say it. All ready got the boot once...
I screamed at my monitor. [It didn’t help one bit.]
I just might kick the dog. //sarc
Circling the wagons...
Yes it is, and I would venture to say criminal.
Yet, isn’t this a classic example of your typical gov’t employee screw up getting promoted?

Even with Obama’s reelection campaign underway, the opposition party don't even pretend to be outraged about this injustice.
...Been following this for a long time. Someone posted not only is this issue egregious, everything this administration has done is criminal! Even Clinton, as corrupt as he was, is a choirboy compared to these Nazis and Leninists!!!
Nah. History does not precisely repeat itself, but it does echo art times.
On 30th January, 1943, Adolf Hitler promoted Freidrich von Paulus to field marshal and sent him a message reminding him that no German field marshal had ever been captured. Hitler was clearly suggesting to Paulus to commit suicide but he declined and the following day surrendered to the Red Army. The last of the Germans surrendered on 2nd February.
Purchased silence. But it will not silence the investigation.
Issa “must” smell blood in the water....
Nothing we haven't known for a long while now...
