Article from 2007:
AUSTIN Gov. Rick Perry said today he will oppose efforts to repeal a law, which he signed six years ago, giving tuition breaks to undocumented immigrants attending state universities.
``I'm for leaving the law like it is because I think it serves a good purpose,'' he said.
Perry said he and the media might have failed to adequately educate the public about the tuition law, which has drawn fire during the ongoing debate over illegal immigration.
State legislators have filed at least four bills to repeal the measure, which grants lower, in-state tuition to the children of immigrants who have lived in Texas at least three years, have graduated from a Texas high school and plan to become citizens.
Opponents say it is unfair to give the financial break to illegal immigrants when many U.S. citizens who are non-Texas residents have to pay more to attend college here. Supporters say it helps immigrants become productive citizens.

That’s at least one strike against Perry.
I still prefer Bachman or Palin.

So much for Perry NOT being a supporter of illegal immigration.
IF YOU MAKE IT EASY AND GIVE THEM MONEY THEY WILL COME.

"We must say to every Texas child learning in a Texas classroom, "We dont care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there." And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers. Thats why Texas took the national lead in allowing such deserving young minds to attend a Texas college at a resident rate. Those young minds are a part of a new generation of leaders[;] the doors of higher education must be open to them. The message is simple: educacion es el futuro, y si se puede [education is the future, and yes, we can]."

How is reporting what a candidate says truly says and what he does a bad thing?

If Perry is the nominee, and enough conservatives refuse to vote for him, we deserve four more years of Obama and the disaster that comes from it.

Phoney hispanic "republican" front for amnesty says Rick Perry is the number one hispanic friendly US politician of 2010 elections.
Governor Rick Perry is #1 Hispanic-friendly U.S. Politician of 2010 Elections
Phoney hispanic "republican" front group encourages the GOP to use the "un American" tea partiers and then toss us aside.
How Un-American is the TEA PARTY
Are they so irrational and merely a self-centered group revolutionary geezers that do not hold American ideal and thus attack our American valuesDemocracy, Capitalism and Constitutionalism. Strategically, it seems like the right thing to do for Republican to utilize the Tea Party to diminish Obamas agenda. But it is also time for Republicans that realize that this people merely using the flag colors as facade to promote un-American agenda . While they do have the right to dissent, sadly, their agenda pushed by special interest in Sacramento and D.C. do not embody the original best American values.
Vicente Fox Thanks Rick Perry for allowing "migrants" to utilize Texas schools

Yesterday he said he was wrong over requiring HPV vaccinations. Today he regrets supporting Al Gore in the 80’s. It seems to me a real Conservative doesn’t need to walk something back every day while running for the Republican nomination.

This was back in 2007 before illegal immigration was really illegal and people colud opt if they wanted to... and he never really used eminent domain to steal any land he just borrowed for his most generous campaign contributors, because that’s how you put people back to work.
Oh whoops all my apologies for Ricardo are getting confused.

Deal killer ping!
Looks like another Compassionate Conservative sleeper RINO that would blow us up after being elected. Understand this : paying for illegals college make No sense unless you plan on giving them amnesty.
The Illegal Immigrant Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 states that an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a state for any post-secondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such benefit without regard to whether the citizen or national is such a resident.
In-state tuition for illegal immigrants contradicts federal regulations
