Everyone .. Except the Leftists/Liberal/Commies are being NICE and Mr Hannity is leading the way!

Sean savages (no pun intended) 0bummer with regularity. It's no secret he, along with El Rushbo, are the most despised by the Messiah.

As I was reading your post and agreeing with it one thought came to my mind just before the end of your post. You were running down the list of commentators, talking about those that used to humor us with their wit...I was thinking, what about Krauthammer. Then in your last paragraph I agreed with you again.

Krauthammer - is the only one that harkens back to the days of yore - the rest are just plain embarrassing.

Hannity has his own show?

I thought he was a guest on the Bob Beckel-Juan Williams talk show.

Oh, and don't forget the the others in that "over and over" parade: Dick Morris, Newt Gingrich and the ever vile Tokyo Rove.

It doesn't matter the issue, it is the same group of guests spouting the same talking points over and over and over again.

Sean's radio show? Unlistenable!

Sean's TV show? Unwatchable!

So you haven’t listened to him in eons yet feel justified to pass judgement on him with a 20 minute segment. Who is being childish?

I did not say it had been thousands of years since I listened to him.

e·on /ˈiən, ˈiɒn/ Show Spelled[ee-uhn, ee-on] noun
1. an indefinitely long period of time; age.
2. the largest division of geologic time, comprising two or more eras.
3. Astronomy . one billion years.

Your over exaggeration of my post on this score serves as an example of what I found so inane in the Hannity segment I listened to tonight.

Now I realize I was not exact in how long it had been since I listened to him last. A "long time" is not very specific even if it definitely is not eons. To clear that up, I listened to him regularly for years. It has been a year since I listened to him regularly. Since then I've tuned him out, only occasionally catching bits of his show.

Tonight I gave it a longer listen, 20 minutes to be exact.

Could you be more specific? Which segment did you watch? I watched his all-American panel with Tucker Carlson, Bernard from the Imus show, and some lib named Tamara Holder. I don’t know what you expect, but I thought it was fine-—no worse than Maddow or Dr. Drew.

Psalm 144: “Intellectually, Hannity and Levin are like pork rinds and porterhouse steak, respectively.”

You sure have that right. Only Mark Levin knows why he likes Hannity so much, but their friendship appears genuine. Maybe it’s as simple as Hannity being a nice guy and loyal conservative even if he’s an intellectual pork rind?

I listen to the first half hour of his show, cause his monologue is usually good.

Its when he lets the lefties on that it gets soooooooo boring, my eyes start to bleed, and I turn tv on to get fox news.

...no worse than Maddow or Dr. Drew.

Is that supposed to be some sort of endorsement? :)

You turned Sean off???
I turn Sean off every day. I listen to Rush. Have 3 hours of peace and then listen to Mark.

Agree. There’s no thought to the selection of callers. The callers add no value. I often have to change the channel.

I do love Laura Ingrahm when she sits in for O’Blathermouth though.

I have to switch off Laura when she gets going, talking over her guest. She (and all of them) should learn to zip the lip and allow the liberal guests to hang themselvles with their spin and counter when they are done. Too often the discussion just degenerates into a shouting match and nobody learns anything.

I've met Sean Hannity in person several times. Nice guy, but the one lasting impression I got from him is this:

It's amazing how someone who is so average can be so successful.

That was when it became eminently clear to me that so many of these radio personalities -- even politically conservative ones -- are entertainers first and foremost. Their political commentary is nothing more than a facade in front of their primary role.

I’ve long believed that one of the keys to Rush Limbaugh’s success is that his show’s format was never intended to include on-air guests. He’s had a few of them over the years, but they are extremely rare.

Here's a great quote from a long-forgotten New York City talk radio host (he never mentioned Hannity by name, but that's who he's referring to): "I knew this business was dead when the legendary Bob Grant lost his time slot to an unemployed construction worker from Long Island."

ROFL.

I agree with you. In addition, most of the show consists of plugs for Ruth’s Chris and his evening TV show.

Occasionally he’ll have good guests on, but when he’s talking to callers it’s awful.

Hannity is not known for his deep thinking.

Does he still call Charlie Rangel a "Great American?" Just wondering....
