(CNSNews.com) - The U.S. Export-Import Bank, an independent agency of the federal government, says that it has $500 million in loans in the “pipeline” to fund new solar energy projects—in India.
The $500 million in new loans will come on top of $75 million in financing that the Export-Import Bank has already provided this year for solar power projects in India.
“In fiscal year 2011 to date, the Bank has approved financing totaling approximately $75 million for four solar projects in India,” the bank said in a July 18 press release. “The Bank also has about $500 million of India solar projects in the pipeline that will generate an estimated 315 MW of solar power.”

Evidently, Obama is a globalist who really wants to “spread the wealth around”. How is this stuff getting passed? Who is in cahoots with him?
If India is wise, it will see through the fraud that this is just a scheme to transfer American taxpayer wealth to Al Gore.
There is a movie libs love (Enron) where it talks about how investing in energy in India (the Bhopal plant) is a very dangerous thing.
It plays good as an interesting doc, but it’s full of classic junk documentary stuff, like blaming Bush for Enron because they were from the same town and used to go to the same parties. But I specifically remember the line about how foolish it was to deal with India and energy. Perhaps someone else remembers better.
If the Republicans had any leadership in the House of Representatives they would pass a bill defunding this program. They would also pass separate defunding bills for similar gigantic wastes of money. Then hold a press conference, and send a stack of defunding bills to Harry Reid and the Senate. Harry will have two choices — either put the bills up for a vote or bury them. Either way the Republicans have an issue that will resonate with the voting population.
Too bad this is only a dream.
