Rove: Palin will run
The Washington Examiner ^ | 08/20/2011 | Byron York

Former Bush advisor Karl Rove says he believes former Alaska governor Sarah Palin will enter the Republican presidential race sometime around Labor Day. Appearing on Fox News Saturday morning, Rove said Palin "has a schedule next week that looks like that of a candidate, not a celebrity." Rove also cited a new campaign-style video Palin has released on her recent visit to the Iowa State Fair as evidence Palin is gearing up for a run.

I’ll sleep so much better now that Rove has now predicted this. /s/

Sarah Palin has "IT." It's something you cannot buy or manufacture. It's something every politician would give anything to have. She has charisma - a mountain of "IT."

This is a nightmare for people like Rove because she is an unapologetic populist who went after Republican dirt-bags in her own state, though she ran as a Republican.

Sarah Palin is a wildly popular outsider who will send people like Rove packing when she is elected president. He knows it and every insider in both parties knows that Palin as president is bad news for the courtiers and perfumed princes who hover around Washington, DC.

I personally believe the independence, strength, moral character, leadership and fundamental decency Sarah brings are what this country desperately needs to survive.

This great woman, Sarah Palin, will be the ONLY PRESIDENT WHO CAN SAVE AMERICA NOW.

Sarah has more common sense in her little finger than now present in the entire federal government.

When Sarah sits down at the desk in the oval office, she will be asking "Why are we doing that?" a million times on almost every issue. Her answer will be repeated untold times, "We aren't doing that anymore from here forward."

Sarah won't get our sons and daughters in the military killed unless there is a true national interest at stake.

Sarah was launched into the national spotlight by a RINO GOP presidential nominee desperate to secure a few conservative votes—she was both an attractive woman and as conservative as they come—so she was hated long and hard by the socialists and their MSM as well as by the Republican “go along to get along” elite.
As a gifted local politician not yet required to be hip to the whole wicked world she was not quite ready for prime time though she tried her best with what she had to work with—namely the infamously lame McCain campaign wreck—STILL she THRILLED the true conservative base now best represented by the Tea Party.
Responding to the righteous love and sneering at the Leftist hate she made herself a national powerhouse and lifted the hopes of those losing hope in the survival of the American way—she was the glint on the tip of the Tea Party spearhead that pierced the America scorching socialist agenda that began with the Pelosi perdition of 2007.
Since then she has done well and has become even more loved by masses of broken glass conservatives waiting for her to go ONE STEP FURTHER.
I don't give a hoot in heck for Karl Rove—his RINO credentials are chiseled in stone and he could have stopped W from paving the way for the current Obama American wasteland during his last years in office—as far as I'm concerned,”Bush's Brain” is as much responsible for the mess we are in as anyone.
But he is right on this one.And I have said before,Sarah Palin has to decide between the Presidency of the United States—which is hers if she wants it—and obscurity.
A peaceful family life or the salvation of the United States of America.Sans that ONE STEP FURTHER she will disappear from the political landscape and that's no lie.
Either way,I will respect her choice.

I thought so tto, but there is strength in numbers. It will split up the MSM. The message will be very clear, that Obama must go. I think any one of our candidates can win. No this is a good thing, a very good thing. Ryan should get in too. I’ve never sent money in for a candidate, but if she announces, I’m sending through Paypal $100 the day she announces.

Two of the very best posts I’ve read here on FR in a very long time.

Thanks, sincerely.

I think Palin knows that neither Condi nor Liz nor Hill is her friend, the best in the business, or of a common foreign affairs vision with her. No need for affirmative action hiring on Palin’s part.

EXACTLY. She gets in and it splits the vote giving Romney the edge.

He loves the stage too much to go away. I had to laugh this morning when he was asked if Rick Perry should be getting credit for jobs in Texas. Since he’s a ‘Bushy’, he couldn’t bear to do so and said all the previous GOP Govs helped TX continue leading the country in jobs and Perry has benefitted and continued the process.

I love that the 2 front runners will soon be Palin and Perry. And that, FReepers, will just kill Karl - gotta love it!

My main concern is that she and Michelle Bachmann will cancel each other out and diminish the impact of the Tea Party on the primary process.

No need for Bachmann to leave the race. We can have more than one woman or Tea Party candidate competing for the nomination. Let the upcoming primary/caucuses weed out the candidates. The one who emerges will be all the stronger for it.

I also wouldn’t be upset if she met with Hillary for the same reason.

I had to read this sentence several times to believe it. Are you SERIOUS?

Should Sarah become President, it will be interesting who her close advisors and cabinet members will be. She can’t do it alone.

One of Obama’s major problems is that he has an incompetent inner circle.

My view all along is that Palin should keep her powder dry until the 2014 Senate elections. She’s a lock to win back that traditionally Republican seat and become a leader in the Senate.

That's crazy. Candidates like Palin only come around about once a generation.

Almost anyone Republican running would do a better job than Obama.

However, Palin makes the moonbats foam at the mouth and bite each other.

She should pick a very good VP candidate if she wins the nomination. Perry/Palin or Palin/Perry would be good.

Fresh is definitely in the mind of the beholder -- the wild blackberries and honey were OK, but I'm not so sure about the deceased salmon. ;-)

Cheers!

Because they'd be competing candidates like everyone else or because they're women? Sarah is not the anti-Michelle form of political matter to cancel her out.

“IMO, Rove wants Palin in to split vote and give Romney an advantage.”

I don't know how you figure that. We saw how fast Perry knocked Romney down to the #2 spot, and Bachmann to #3. If Palin were to throw her hat in, Romney would drop a bit not rise back to the top. The Romney supporters are Romney supporters period. Nothing will change that. They are head strong and won't budge no matter who jumps in. But after the Primary they will rally around the winner taking HER into November.

Sarah was launched into the national spotlight by a RINO GOP presidential nominee desperate to USE HER TO secure a few conservative votes, THEN ABANDON HER TO OBSCURITY.

Now she has abandoned that progressive RINO to obscurity, resulting in the consternation of the leftist liberal establishment.

That Pit Bull won't let go.

McCain will never live down the beating a Marxist muslim gave him at the polls.
