Let the upcoming primary/caucuses weed out the candidates. The one who emerges will be all the stronger for it.

Exactly. We have a LONG way to go. Let all our best potential nominees enter the race and battle it out. A strong primary process helps vet our candidates and the debate makes them stronger for the general election.

It would be absolutely fantastic if Palin enters the race. And if Ryan thinks he could be a great president and has the support he thinks he'll need, he should jump in too.

I could see her meeting with Hillary during the transition to a Palin presidency to get the lay of the land, so to speak.

And remember, Palin worked with Democrats in Alaska.

Romney supporters are Romney supporters period.

True.

The non-Romney supporters will be split. He will probably win the NH primary regardless.

Rove and the Bushes are very much part of the elitist wing of the GOP and Romney is their man.

Have you noticed how Rove was quick to start criticizing Perry?

Watch the video at #15.

Barbara Bush looked 85 when she was 60. I guess her age finally caught up with her face.

"The elites want Romney as GOP candidate ...even if he can't beat Obama...that opens door for Jeb in 2016".

I believe you are exactly correct on this.

If Palin enters the race, Bachmann is dead in the water. If Bachmann doesn't stop saying stupid things(promising $2 gas, joining the IRS so she could take it down, Elvis, etc.), Bachmann will be dead in the water regardless of whether Palin runs or not.

Right now there are three conservatives in the race - Bachmann, Cain and Santorum. Perry is the 2012 version of George W. Bush. There's room for a conservative that can inspire people and win.

“Have you noticed how Rove was quick to start criticizing Perry?”

You can say the same about FR over the last couple of weeks. A lot of people have serious concerns about him. I'm keeping an open mind on his right now, and will decide for myself on how he performs in the next debate or two, and stump speeches, just like I am with Bachmann. If Palin jumps in, then that is a whole new ballgame. I will rally around her like you would not believe.

Rove has no particular ideology. He is simply interested in power for himself and would be just as happy as a Democrat, liberal or conservative. He couldn't care less about the country, just personal power.

Rove just happens to be on the Bush team. If you take a look at Perry's stands (spending as governor, “compassionate conservative,” illegal immigration, open borders, etc.) they are no different than Bush 43’s. Rove doesn't oppose Perry based on philosophy, but because he isn't a member of Perry's team.

I hope that Rove is right this time.

Of the 5 current candidates, I only like a couple and think they are trustworthy.

Of the rest, one I can't feel much of anything for, and the last two are more or less regionally different flavored heads of the same coin, a coin I would not want to spend on the White House.

Those two have shown that they are not trustworthy guardians of our liberty and freedom and I won't vote for either one if they somehow end up as the republican nominee.

I would like to see Sarah Palin in the race. Based on what I know about her, and NOBODY has been more thoroughly vetted by a hostile opposition than Sarah Palin, and what she's written on various topics, I can trust her.

Barbara Bush has had Graves’ disease for many years. This disease affects the thyroid and can cause changes in appearance, such as in skin, hair (premature graying), and eyes, as well as many other problems.

One of Obama’s major problems is that he has an incompetent inner circle.

Depends on where you're going. If your goal is to turn the US into a third-world country with yourself as dictator for life, nobama's inner circle is brilliant.

Remember these kinds of posts when Dubya was running for his second term prior to the 2004 election? I was duped into thinking Rove was a super guy. Lord, please forgive me for I have sinned.

No,no,no... I’m not saying that any of them would be part of any hiring..or working in a Palin administration in any capacity. But if it was me, I’d want their thoughts and perspective. as well as others (Cheney/Gates for example.) Very few women have served in high office of National Security/State. Just frank, honest opinion from those who’ve been there, done that (of course, leaving out someone like Madeline half-bright.)

I will be interested in hearing details of what a Palin foreign policy would look like. I know where she stands on energy, regulation and a number of other issues.

Last week I was in a real funk when (to me anyway), it looked like she would not run. That has changed this week. I can’t think of anyone I’d like to see more than her and I will support her 150%.

This will split the conservative vote and allow Romney to steal the nomination.
