I’ve no doubt the regulars on Martha’s Vineyard view these Obama clan members with total contempt.

Obama needs to go to Sturgis during Bike Week if he really wants to find out what people think about him.

Actually Martha’s Vineyard is known as a vacation spot for the black elite.

But maybe we’re talking about integrating the elite and the common folk.

Like most coastal vacation spots the year round population isn't representative of the summer population. The town of Oak Bluffs in Martha's Vineyard has an area of beautiful old cottages that have been used as summer homes by a group of very wealthy and mostly African Americans for many years.

The people that summer there have little in common with the life situation of the typical African American. They have much more in common with the stereotypical upper class republican. They are doctors, lawyers, and hedge fund managers, they drive expensive cars, and live in fancy suburban houses. Their kids go to private schools, and someday, like mom and dad, they'll go to Harvard, or Yale too.

If the President thinks he's getting an understanding of what ordinary Americans are experiencing and thinking by visiting with the folks on Martha's Vineyard he is misinformed.

Obama’s racist, there’s not a single black kid in that picture.

I wonder what the black population of Martha’s Vineyard is?

What do you mean, "black elite?"

I thought "whitey" was keeping ALL the blacks "down."

How can there be a "black elite" in a country run by nothing but racist, white folks?

Excellent point.

Martha’s Vineyard doesn’t “look like America”.

Some busing is needed. Diversity, don’t ya know.
