Trump will never run as an independent - he wouldn’t want to go down in history as the factor that got Obama re-elected.

He’s full of hot air anyway.

Romney is a backstabber.

NO RINOs.

No Backstabbers.

We can do better. Stop with this crap! It is what got us McCain and the Tyrant...Stop it!

Apparently you want more OBama by pushing Romney.

Romney would lose to Obama, no matter what.

The question might come down to who would scare the crap out of you more, Romney or four more years of the community agitating marxist dictator?

Didn’t say I was in love with Romney. I would prefer someone else. I’m just saying that IF he wins the nomination, that will not be the time to be mule-stubborn and refuse to vote for Romney, thus allowing a win for Obama. This is not bashing anyone, it is common sense.

I don’t want Bush/McCain-lite either.

A Romney-Rubio ticket will crush Obama.

The wall streeters who are supporting Romney financially are supporting Obama's re-election.

Of the current GOP field, only Romney and Huntsman will have difficulty beating Obaman. I don't think Huntsman will be the nominee. Romney could well be the Bob Dole of the early 21st century. And the results will be the same.

I'm not sure if Romney can win the nomination. If he does, I'm pretty sure Obama will get 4 more years.

My first choice is Palin. My second choice is probably Herman Cain. Beyond that, I think only Romney and Huntsman will lose my vote in the General election. If either of them are on the Republican line, I'll look at third parties, leave it blank, or write in Palin.

I think Romney’s strongest support will be Dems in open primary states. I’m not knowledgeable enough to know if that will put him over the top or not.

In a 3-way race I see:

Obama>Romney>Tea Party

With Baraq pulling off a Clintonian plurality win.

So, we gotta vote for a guy with a slick haircut instead of big ears? This sucks.

I understand. But you must realize that the first time you ponder the possiblity, you are considering acceptance and eventual endorsement.

There are all sorts of ways you could take this in life - morals, relationships, abuse, etc. You have to realize that planning for the event that "the worst happens" gives credence to the perpetrators and appeasers and those that want to keep us from recovering from this. It isn't common sense; it's resignation from one's ideals.

Further proof that you don’t need much in the way of intellect to be a banker or work Wall Street.

It will be that time for me and many, many others on this forum, including the owner.

Romney is a statist, elitist, lying no good, scum bag bastard, pro abort, pro illegal alien, pro queer marriage - too many things to name. Tell me the difference in him and any other liberal, including Obama. If heaven forbid, Romney becomes the nominee, this country is doomed and damn’d, no matter which liberal wins the general election and I’ll never vote to destroy our country.

You are correct on your worry about Romney in open primary states.

He could also get significant support in states with closed primaries, if there are no serious primary challengers to Obama. States like Florida, where there are a lot of Democrats who could register as Republicans before the presidential primary, could see significant cross over. The timing on Presidential primaries and down ticket primaries in Florida allows one to switch parties, vote in the presidential primary, switch back, and still vote in the Democrat primaries for Congress, state and local offices.

If Hillary or some other serious player challenges Obama on the Dem side, I see a good opportunity for a conservative on the Republican side. A Palin v. Hillary general election could be very interesting.

If Obama has no challenger, Romney's chances for the nomination go up, and Obama's reelection odds get better.

Obama would beat a Romney - anyone ticket like a redheaded step child.

Romney will get no support or passion.

He’s a loser.

He needs to stop sucking up oxygen.

It would be heartbreaking to see Obama re-elected with 40% of the vote, but that is definitely possible.

I’d rather have someone without a moral compass than someone with a backwards moral compass.

Romney would be another Clinton. Thumb in the wind. I prefer that to a left wing ideologue like Barry.

No I like sarah or perry. But what you’re telling me is if romney does get the nomination(which I don’t think he will) you would prefer obama. Is that correct?
