A Story of Love, Compassion, Friendship & Loyalty
About eight years ago a wild Australian Sulphur Crested Cockatoo flew into a car and broke its wing. The motorist took it to the Vet in Nerang, Queensland, who had to amputate the wing. Here in the states, if you try to help a bird, the secret police swoop down on you.
Being in a family is dangerous. Human family that is.
Mother may kill children due to hormones, revenge, wanting to party etc.
Boyfriend may kill
Husband may kill revenge get out of child support etc.
Really dangerous being a human child.
That is so true, once i rescued a squirrel and called the state for information on how to take care of it, and I honestly thought he was going to come to my house and arrest me.
But in Arkansas, I could keep up to 6 squirrels. I am not kidding, he was going to arrest me for one squirrel.
Thanks, I needed something nice and wholesome today!
I shooed away the kitties, scooped the bird up, and brought him inside. I didn't have provisions for him but had a hamster cage from an earlier kids adventure. I never had a bird before and had to do a hurry up, catch up, but he was surprisingly low maintenance.
I was able to keep him for eight years.
