There were no jokes about making late night sacrifices to kick start them after a crash as there later would be with anything created by Gates.
Rumors traveled fast back then about some of Gates' strong armed sales techniques. It was not pretty.
Did you see that movie? “Pirates of the Silicon Valley’? That film pretty well firmed up my opinion about Gates. Unfortunately his product became the most affordable; that is why he made it big while Jobs has been the true visionary.
